Damn straight. At 17, no man is looking for "eternal love"....Most chicks aren't either, so get busy!

At 17? I would say any man under 50, not without a pre-nup at least.

But you need a car, can never show weakness, and must have no body odor. I knew the rules by sophomore year in highschool I just couldn't get my parents to get me a car and didn't know how to deal with the body odor. Too bad they look better in high school than any other time in life.

But then if you dare to take one step beyond the obvious and the already stated, all this can serve as a reasonable explanation for the existence of prostitution and pornography, can it not? Ah, the females' little mating games!

I agree....Women aren't HONEST about what they're looking for, so why should men?

Aside from being courtious on a date and other formalities, I pushed the envelope every time with the woman, and never once was I ever accused of being "over the top" or "too aggressive"....You can get away with the freight train, if you want...They're just not looking for a social IDIOT, that's all...

Women like confident, spontaneous, unpredictable men and the only thing from keeping you from getting what you want is your own self-imposed standards.

After my first wife died and I was single I kept running into the same problem. All my married female friends when talking about their unmarried female friends would regularly say something like "some day Bonnie will meet a nice guy just like you." This comment would usually come right after Bonnie, Andrea, Susan etal. had just broken up with some jerk who treated her like s**t. Now none of those women ever noticed that I was there and available because I wasn't very exciting. What I was was intelligent, hardworking, self-employeed and a homeowner. I was a good cook, washed my own clothes, kept my house and yard in good repair and could fix your car. I am not hard on the eyes though a little overweight. I don't smoke or drink and have never used drugs. But none of this mattered because I was boring, which I came to understand meant that I wouldn't cheat on them or slap them around or come home drunk at 3 in the morning. Anyway after 8 years I finally met a woman who wasn't into the bar scene, enjoyed gardening, fly-fishing, throwing fun parties and sharing our semi-gourmet kitchen. We have been married 5 years this summer and I couldn't be happier. Do I wish that some of those other women had taken the time to give me a chance? At the time I wanted nothing more. I enjoyed be married and hoped that someone else out there felt the same way. Finally after I gave up on my group of friends, which included about 5 unmarried, available women, I found my wife. So my perception is that many women are more attracted to the gold chain, wild living, Clintoniod type than to the decent, dependable, somewhat bland by there standards type of guy.

I know this is rather long response, but this subject really pulls my chain.

"The old rule: if you don't have a girlfriend, it's hard to get one - if you do, they're all over you."

Dang. That has always been my experience, always!

Whatever the reason, I'm glad to be old enough not to be concerned with it.

There is another problem today if you come on strong and they don't like you you could get in trouble for "sexual harassment".

I know what you mean...I had a job as a teen and I made a deal with my dad when it came to buying a car.

I think every male teenager should hold at least a part-time job, especially if you gotta have female attention...Personally, I hated to be a drag on my parents, so I volunteered myself to work....It was a good confidence booster and it also helped my self-esteem, which translated into my dating....I was only one of a few guys in school who actually worked, but it felt great not having to go to my parents to pay for my dates.

Men have to share the blame when women choose the wrong men. We just stand by without saying anything when women we know choose the worse guy possible and the right guy is just down the hall and we know who he is.

----------------------

Tell her she's messing with the wrong guy and she'll go down and pull his cloths off in an attempt to show you she's right and you are wrong.
