Throw all the above away when the Female Clock starts ticking.

Other observations: The outside packaging varies wildly, but the internal wiring is always the same.

Chocolate continues to run neck and neck with sex as #1.

They tend to pick guys like their father, guys who will run off on them.

I think that's true, I've even seen it where they married a nice enough guy but were so afraid he'd run off they actually caused it to happen with their self-fulfilling paranoia. The happiest pairings seem to be when a guy finds someone similar to his mother and the girl finds someone like her dad, and they came from parents whose marriage lasted. Probably in the majority of cases women who had nice-guy dads went for nice-guy mates for themselves.

Congratulations on your happy marriage. Be very glad those previous girls didn't give you a chance. Your life would be hell now. How does that song go....."Thank God for unanswered prayers"?

Unless one of the parents isn't all that much of a person. In which case, they search for the opposite, after figuring out that that's what they should go for. Or they end up in therepy.

"classes where no-one passed" Consistent standards of performance.... that's probably the one attribute of the military that causes lefties to resent it so much.

A puffed up jerk is constantly trying to prove himself. A confident man knows he doesn't have to.

Honest to god, I dated a guy who was tone-deaf. It drove me crazy. Some people would call what I have "perfect pitch". I really think of it as a finely-tuned, well-developed long-term memory for musical pitches. Be that as it may, it drove me NUTS hanging around this guy. Sitting next to him in church while he was droning along on the hymns drove me absolutely bonkers. From that point on, I realized I had to find myself a man who could at least carry a melody line. Let's just say I hit the jackpot in that regard. I didn't give a care as to how well he dressed. In fact, I'd dated enough "clothes' horses" who cared more about what was featured in the latest copy of GQ than me, to have had enough of that (narcissistic jerks! :-).

If those standards are not met people will die needlessly. that is a fact.

The original point I was trying to get accross to you was that it is not size or physical development alone that allows one to prevail when attacked. It is mindset first and foremost.

What I was responding to was what I percieved to the fact that you stated you were somewhat physically intimidated by some individuals. You implied it was a question of size. I was in my own sometimes very clumsy and insensitive way trying to let you know that you did not have to be intimidated by anyone.

Please accept my apologies if any of my comments were off the mark. I have in my younger days been in several situations where someone a little to impressed with their own toughness has forced an issue in an establishment devoted to serving spiritous beverages. The big trick in these circumstances is to avoid becoming either a hospital patient or a guest of the government. Never ever starting a fight but always winning is what is needed.

As far as BUD/S goes, I heard from an active SEAL something to the effect that BUD/S makes Basic training look like kindergarten...

Just remember, if you plink down $10,000 or more for an automobile, your payment gets reported to the Feds. It's an unfortunate side effect of the War on (Some) Drugs, if I remember correctly.

A single woman in a bar alone is probably looking to hook up, but a married woman in a bar alone is certainly looking to hook up. Be flattered, Danny boy.

She'll have to keep looking in my case, though. I don't mess with philandering tarts, m'lady.

40 - "The decision often involves some shopping around. So this is where the shopping instinct comes from. "

LOL - So, women 'shop' and men 'hunt',
targeting their 'prey' until they 'bag' her.

makes sense to me.
