House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt said he would support the bill with the border security provisions.

We have been betrayed!
We wont get fooled again.
We wont get fooled again
Just like America was betrayed when your uneducated and non-English speaking ancestors came over on the boat.
Where would you be today if they had been denied permission to come to America.
Lay off the hyperbole and debate the facts.
Thanks for posting. I said it in my post 149. I think all these 'conservatives' whining they will never vote for Bush again are either being led around by the media bias and not educating themselves on what the bill really does, or they are not really conservatives, but lib plants looking for something to criticize Bush for in order to make it appear Bush is too 'left' for conservatives.
I have no qualms about legal immigrants pursuing their work in the United States.
No hypocrasy at all.
Can you see this difference? Would you try? But of course, you cannot see that distinction here on FR, no matter how many times I would write it. You don't understand it because you don't want to understand it.
Take a look at my posts on FR for the last four years, for example.
You are encountering the raw wrath of a) a lot of conservatives out there on FR; who b) have read the bill and agree with Congressman Tancredo (REPUBLICAN) that this was a travesty.
Hang it up.
How many millions of uneducated, unskilled, non-english speaking do you think will be enough, on top of the 8 or so million illegal aliens that are already in our county?
Conservative community? LOL! I am actually laughing out loud! You are very fuuny!
Like it or not they help the economy. These people after a day of cleaning toilets, working out in the fields, and working in searing heat putting roofs on buildings, go out and buy food, clothes, and other consumer goods.
Also major efforts should be made to help economies south of the border.
I'm surprised at the number of people here on FR that pull the race card when this subject comes up. They obviously have no clue what the hell they are talking about. Those of us that live in areas that are swamped with illegals are sick of it.
This argument won't be solved here. Perhaps it will at election time.
I didn't even mention you in my post--indeed, I mentioned no names--and you instantly responded to it.
There's a saying about how when one throws a stick into a pack of dogs, the one who yelps is the one you hit. I threw the stick, and you yelped.
I am laughing at how foolish you are, and how easy you are to manipulate.
By the way, it was precisely the strategy of the White House and their Hill handlers, to slip in something dangerous into a bill that had elements of positive things. I HAVE read the bill; you idiot. I went to Congressional Bill status on the web and read it yesterday again from beginning to end. You don't know what you are talking about. Stop with the "Huddled Masses" sermon, already. We are supposed to be a country of Laws.
