In the Middle East, Israel is the reigning super-power. Israel has the nuclear triad required of any super-power (air launched, land launched, and sea launched nuclear weapons). The other Middle-Eastern nations do not.

Israel has the superior Air Force. Israel has the superior Army. Israel has the superior Navy. Israel also has a superior intelligence service.

Yet over and over again the Palestinians demand that War settle the differences at hand. Over and over nations such as Iran and Iraq threaten Israel.

These are fatal miscalculations. The world will not shed any tears for the inevitable extinction of the Palestinians and their cause.

History bears this conclusion out, too.

Yasser Arafat and his PLO have already been kicked out of their Palestinian homeland. In 1969, King Hussein led his army in a crushing defeat of the PLO inside his Arab nation of Jordan. Other Arab nations refused the PLO entry, and the lawless lands of Lebanon as well as the nation of Israel were the only places to which they could flee. They live in those lands as refugees to this very day, ridiculously claiming that they have a sovereign right to those areas as their "homeland", while saying nary a word about the actual loss of their real homeland back in Jordan.

The Palestinian terrorist group known as Black September was formed after the PLO's 1969 defeat in Jordan (which happened in September , of course), not to attack Jordan or other Arabs, but to begin the hijacking of non-Arab jets that continues to this very day.

The lesson is simple: they fear to attack Hussein's Jordan again because Hussein will wipe them out, and they know that fact because it was demonstrated to them at gunpoint in 1969.

This lesson has not yet been taught to them by the Israelis, but clearly that point in time is fast approaching.

The Israeli military of today dwarf's that of the Jordan military of 1969, however. Thus, this lesson is going to be decidely more permanent, carving the Palestinian name into the history books next to the Carthaginian name as being yet another victim of their own warring policies (against much stronger opponents).

There was another time in history when inflicting pain on Israel caused much death and destruction. Egypt begged the Israel to leave and even gave them their gold and silver. Israel needs to repeat their ancient history, and, since their enemies don't want want to exist, there is no other way.
They need to give them such a pounding that they'll all pack up and flee forever. Israel can start with Iraq then give Arafat 24 hours to turn himself in or collect his virgins.
