Just thinking that the clock may have misread the military time on the Pacific International Dateline as 05:37:19 Spetember 12 so it comes out as military time (17:37:19 September 12)

To all the tin foil people out there. A fellow employee of my husband was in his car on the bridge next to the Pentagon talking to his brother on his cell. The plane went right over his car - he saw it hit the Pentagon. It was definetely on 9/11. There were plenty of other eye witnesses - so let's stop with the insane theories. It's bad enough that it happened.

Why would they catalogue the photo at the exact same second but 19 or 31 hours later? (depending on who made the screw up)

The position and length of the shadows in the photograph should allow the time of day to be established fairly accurately.

fyi, I am aware of no military (or other) use of "International Dateline Time". Most military time is either local, or Greenwich Mean Time (also known as Zulu).

Also, at the moment of impact (0937 local, 1437 Z), it would have been 0237 on the 12th, in the Pacific.

Are we sure it is at exactly the same exact second? I thought the article said that the plane hit the pentagon about 9:37am - that would mean it was not even exactly the same minute. Also, the word "impact" must have been added later.

However, I could be wrong here because I do not know the exact time (as would be shown by surveillance) the plane hit. It would indicate that the clock was simply set wrong (by a degree of round hours) if the times were the same minute and second but off by hours.

When they had the year 2000 countdown, I remember some of the small Islands in the Pacific being close to 19 hours ahead of us.
