[history]
An Eagle Scout who was mistaken for a bank robber and shot in the face by an FBI agent in Pasadena on Friday remained in serious but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center last night.
Joseph Charles Schultz, 20, was shot at close range about 6 p.m. Friday when FBI agents searching for a bank robbery suspect pulled over his girlfriend's car.
Schultz, who lives in the 7900 block of Seabreeze Drive in Orchard Beach in Anne Arundel County and works with fiber optics for a local medical company, has no connection to the bank robbery, officials said.

I wouldn't pull over for any unmarked car. Where were the local police? Shouldn't they be doing the law enforcement in the area?

Well, at this rate, Lon Horiuchi won't run out of bridge partners. I wonder if he finds life at Quantico confining.

Famous, But Incompetent.

the people we're supposed to trust with firearms? An incident like this is not a 'mistake', or 'accident' -- It's an inexcusable and absolute f*ck-up.

No window office buildings could become the building boom trend for the alphabet soup group. As it is, you can't find an address in a phone book for any federal agency any more. This is very signifigant. When they have to hide from the public in fear(of course they will offer other reasons) things are not going well in this country for them.

Is this getting major attention in MD?
(We can assume the victim was a mere inconsequential male caucasian, if not, there would be entire city blocks in flames.)

If bumble-f*cks like this homicidal moron are the people who are supposedly providing "domestic security" for our country, then we are screwed. I'll take care of me and my own by myself, thanks very much...

A good friend, who was for a time a homicide investigator with NIS, calls them the F!@#$ng Bureacratic Idiots.

We can assume the victim was a mere inconsequential male caucasian, if not, there would be entire city blocks in flames. Roger that. And as you mentioned on another thread, the fact that these undisciplined fedgoons have a government-sponsored, taxpayer-funded "get out of jail free" card only further enables their "we're special people" mindset.
I notice none of the usual apologists have cropped up on the threads about this heinious incident. I guess these thugs once in a while show their true colors so plainly that even their buddies can't speak up in their defense.
To: Texbob
He was shot because the FBI is a bunch of Keystone kops, the worst law group in the world.
===================================
Not as long as we still have the ATF!
To: Travis McGee
I haven't heard too much about it. I'm from this area, but I didn't listen to or read any of the news media this weekend. I am guessing that Ron Smith of WBAL radio will be talking about it. He's on from 3 to 6 and can be heard on the internet at WBAL.com , I believe. He has a great show and you should check it out if you get a chance.

Contempt of cop is a disease that will kill , hurt or ruin all who come in contact with it .......this was such a case IMHO. FLEA's in civilian clothes and unmarked vehicles with eeeeeeeeeeevil black firearms will sure lock up the fear factor of any innocent person who's never experienced such.
I figure the FiBi's will just pay the kid and say Oooooop's AD's happen and this agent will be promoted in the phucupmoveup career incentive program to supervise other idiots someday.
Sad that PC is sooooo strong in goobermint that good FLEAS/LEOS have to cater to the likes of this that make em all look like sh*t........
Stay Safe !

If we knew the shooter's name, we would know if his resume includes Ruby Ridge and Waco.
To: Squantos
I agree with your comments about "Contempt of Cop". There can be no mistake in this regard, however -- the FBI shoulders full blame for this incident. The fault is theirs and theirs alone, as is the ill will towards their agency that results from their
modus operandi: screw up, cover up, while the criminals in their organization continue on clean as the driven snow. They besmirch the reputation of their entire organization by behaving so.
"Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill it teaches the whole people by example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. -- Justice Louis Brandeis, dissenting, Olmstead et al. v. United States, 277 U.S. 485 (1928)

I think you're probably correct.
I always give the benefit of the doubt to LEOs even of the Federal type (considering the many mistakes made the last decade by them) when this stuff happens but I always reserve judgement until all the facts are in.
I was even late in my outrage over Waco due to this.
I don't think we should stop trying to apprehend bank robbery suspects and in that case this crap will happen again because humans are involved.
How bad of a goat roping this was (that led to the shooting of the kid) remains to be seen. Obviously an innocent kid driving down the road is going to react funny (read delayed reaction) when a bunch of armed, non-uniformed people start shouting at him and forcing his car off the road.
What are our options for stopping this sort of thing from happening again aside from getting better people on the job or creating a magic pill that removes SNAFU from our daily lives?
To: one2many
Absolutely sick. Even if this had been the robbery suspect, shooting him in the face in the manner described would have been hard to stomach. As it is...I hate to keep throwing around the term "jack-booted thugs", but...
To: one2many
In the previous administration, shooting an Eagle Scout would have probably gotten the guy a commendation.

This incident reminds me of an incedent that happened about 6 months ago in California. The BATF let a guy burn in his house after he shot the cop remember? It has been six months and still no report! The local sheriffs department shot up the house next door (approx. 100+bullets)where a family had just came home from the hospital with their newborn child. They mistook their house for the suspects and "No" report released from them either. How quickly we forget! This will fade away. Thats how this will be investigated.
