Israeli Tanks shell PA Intelligence HQ in Salfit

IDF tanks are shelling the Palstinian Authority's General Intelligence Service headquarters in the West Bank village of Salfit at this hour.

There are no reports of casualties, Israel Radio reports.

The shelling comes in the wake of this morning's lethal shooting attacks on a civilian convoy and soldiers at an army roadblock nearby.

Nine Israelis were killed - seven soldiers and two civilians - and at at least six are wounded after Palestinians opened fire at the roadblock, close to the Samaria community of Ofra.

The tempo is speeding up. Events may take on a life of their own. The Saudi peace plan is already history ... before it could even be discussed. The Europeans are standing with their mouths hanging open. They are not only irrelevant, they are comic.

The American calls for forbearance are heeded by Israel because they are really calls for coordinated timing: hold your fire until the time is right.

In some way, these terror strikes are a form of spoiling attack, to throw off the American plans. I think Israel will stay with the program, but will respond tactically and preempt the PLA with a few attacks on their infrastructure as well.

Another do-nothing Israeli repsonse. Why are they attacking buildings around Arafat's compound? Why not hit the compound, level it, kill the terrorist-in-chief, line up every bulldozer in Israel, and push all those f-ing Palestinians and their plywood shanties into Jordan? Yeah, that would lead to an all-out war with the Arabs, but the war's coming anyway.

Israeli Air Forces F-16 jets are bombing Palestinian Authority police headquarters in Ramallah at this hour, according to Palestinian sources.

I guess PM Sharon was watching the same crowd on TV that I saw, terrorists with weapons cheering the deaths of Israeli infants coming home from shul.
