They make themselves look foolish, pretending they can look into their TV & see right into someones heart. They think they are clever.

I abhor these parents lifestyles but that doesn't mean they are not in shock because of this horrible thing that has happened. They probably could have been more careful with their childs safety but the realization of that will only add to their guilt & suffering.

With the same problem as before, it comes from an internet chat room or forum where anyone can represent themselves to be anything and claim anything.

I am simply pointing out, that the internet is largely anonymous. You and I do not know each other from Adam. I am sure you are being honest about what your LE son heard. My point is, that it does not rise to the level of being verifiable, honorable reputation or no, it is still second hand hearsay from an internet forum. And in two weeks of research, your post was the closest I've seen to a secondary source.

I have faithfully read every link to an article handed me and every last one has cited RR's radio show of Fri. 2-9-02 as its source for the swing angle. There has been no other independent investigative reporting, no interviews, no other claims of "leaks" or "anonymous officials". That is a red flag.

The horse I'm riding here isn't about the VD's really. It's about Freepers not trusting to the validity of single source journalism. Rick Robert's must be ecstatic, he's gotten himself cited in every major rag nationwide, by NAME and STATION. Pretty slick, eh?

Of course, he has also handed the defense a very nice bat to pound the parents with.

Thanks sweetie, I love the Lord too! There were more trying times than others...and I had to read the book of Job, or at least think of him...to know that patience can and will be tried. I have to hold on to my anger..there are times when I feel the evil city just swallowed her up and spit her out..

Oh my gosh, my heart goes out to you and yours... the pain of loss is so unimaginable! Just to be able to keep composure is an incredible feat... My prayers are with you!

have been around FR for several years & its always the same with every tragedy.
I never noticed it before but I will now. :( I have noticed a lot of strange things the past year or two... such nasty little jokes or jibes about tragedies. That's awful too.

Whoa, Whoa. Before you start with the "spreading hate" PC tar-and-feather routine, remember that this is only a bulletin board. People are just speculating. That's all anyone can do. Nothing wrong with that. It's just amateur profiling and guessing, like working a puzzle. Stop taking all this speculation (and perhaps yourself) so seriously.

What do you think the real detectives/investigators do? One of the things they do is get together and talk; speculate; come up with scenarios; something very similar to what is going on here. All angles have to be explored.

I know what they do. They look to the parents as the first suspects because they are the most likely "actors". Just like they look at the spouse as the most likely suspect when a husband or wife are murdered,or a business partner when a businessman is murdered. The police obviously looked at the VD's as suspects and dismissed them early-on. If they hadn't,John Walsh wouldn't have been there advising the family and arranging a PR firm to help them. He has contacts in the police dept that are at LEAST as good as those of a radio DJ,and I don't believe he would have stepped in and befriended them if they were still suspects in any way. Do you?

LOL! Oh yeah,MUCH flimsier evidence than "I don't like the look in his eye",or "I think the father may have been involving the girl in the swapping". Let's see,"who should I listen to,John Walsh who has a national reputation and contacts with the police chief,or the professionally-paranoid who see Satan hiding behind every tree?". Gee,a REALLY tough decision,but I'll have to go with Walsh.
