Last night renowned and respected Freeper, Dog Gone, posted a vanity. It was his first. It was his last. Dog Gone is GONE!
He wanted to convey to all his fellow freepers that he could not take the humiliation and pain suffered by having a thread deleted.
As most wounded dogs, he is now licking his wounds.
We have suffered through countless vanities about cheese, moose, cheating, the Tourist Guy, and Anna Kournikova. And the Admin Moderators chose to make an example of Dog Gone. He has been pushed to the limit.
This is his Opus.

People were enthusiastic about that thread. Many people couldn't wait to register their predictions about how long it would last before it was deleted, while others were delving into the complex thought processes that dogs must have in deciding to cheat on their masters.It does seem unbelievable that such a vital topic was deemed unworthy of discussion here at Free Republic. Dog Gone often provoked stimulating thought and discussion. Why, just recently, he reminded everyone of the proper scientific name for fossilized dinosaur poop.
We can only hope that he will see fit to return and again share his valuable insights with the rest of us.

I don't know, freemyland may have a point with his "final straw thread" leave-taking. It would require, however, thoroughly excoriating the offending party on that thread, revealing in detail the depths of his/her depravity, criminal mind-set, perverted sex life, and other relevant facts, followed up with "Liar, liar, liar!" It'll get the thread pulled, but a least a dozen people will have saved it for future reference.

That wasn't my first vanity. It wasn't even my first vanity to be deleted. (It was, however, my first vanity which didn't even survive the first 10 responses!)
I must say, though, that I AM GREATLY DISAPPOINTED that nobody was willing to post a photo of Anna Kournikova in an effort to entice me back.
Sheesh.
