Alright, it now appears that journalist Daniel Pearl's gruesome death scene not only involved a throat-slashing, but his decapitation at the hands of his captors, as well. And the tragic events were filmed, to boot. (UK Times). Undoubtedly, that tape needs to be made available for the public to see, albeit at a late viewing hour for the eyes of adults only. It would be fair to say that the captors wanted no remaining ambiguity as to Pearl's demise. And these psychopaths reportedly forced Pearl to admit to being a Jew and the son of a Jew, an unequivocal "enemy" of Islam in the twisted minds of these murderous thugs, who worked themselves up into a tizzy in order to carry out their appalling deed. Americans have a right to know the atrocities that have been perpetrated upon our citizens. We're adults for heaven's sake, and we are not going to faint at the sight of graphically depicted killing. For those that are particularly squeamish, don't complain, just turn off the television set. Rush Limbaugh incisively indicated, "The media's reaction is that it (Pearl's death) was so brutal, they're not reporting the details. But the brutality of the death of others doesn't stop them from rolling tape, does it?"

Precisely. This isn't just a bad Jerry Bruckheimer movie that almost everyone's put out of their minds by now. This is a war of darkness and unmitigated eveil against civilization itself. These monsters want us all dead and without cavil or compromise. Every single one of then must be killed.
And if you don't want to watch it...CHANGE THE F-ING CHANNEL!!!. I will never understand why when one person doesn't want to watch, it means no one can.
Where do you draw the line?
To encounter our enemies on their turf, we must abandon our complacent "it can't happen to us" worldview. The video is important to depict what Americans are up against.
Watch Jay Leno tonight to get a read on where the "War on Terrorism" stands. It's all jokes about it. Americans do not take this stuff seriously and still view the violence as something that happens to someone else. Why are we going to perpetuate this myth by suddenly developing scruples about when violent images are appropriate?
Here's a novel idea, do something about it now so there is no next time. Last time I checked, Joe Citizen is not in charge of the US Military, President Bush is. You can rest assured that he's seen the tape, and is indeed doing something about it.
Why dont you just form your own private army and wage jihad against the millions of Muslims overseas. Talk is cheap.
If the events of 9-11 have devolved into drama storylines for very bad television shows, it is very clear the American populace is inching towards the view that what happened in NY was a video game and not the real thing.
That video would demonstrate this is not the stuff of JAG episodes.
