Maybe this was what he was waiting for...to see which clowns know the Constitution and which don't. Then he can veto the bill and tell us WHY he had to veto it..while the clowns in Congress were giving themselves a payraise, they were also busy taking away our Freedom of Speech. So then he President has to veto the bill, which will get him lots of airtime, and also give him a primetime audience to explain to those that don't know that this is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

"RECALL THEM ALL". We need a grassroots effort to Recall ALL the politicians from DC. We, the people, are not being heard, and I for one have had it.

So it looks like ... its up to BushI wouldn't gamble on those odds.

One thing for certain, we know who voted FOR this bill.
I'm sure I won't forget. Come their re-election, I'm working to get out the vote for their opponant in the primaries.

Just moments ago, I received a donation solicitation phone call from the Florida Republican party. I told the young feller that I'm withholding any monetary support till the outcome of CFR is known.
He gallantly hung in there, replying that Republicans should still contribute even though we may disagree on some various issues.
I said, "Sorry friend, but this is THE issue with me because this bill is a trash of our Constitution and I'm not backing off". He then began to agree with what I was saying, rather sincerely, I felt.
So I suggested it was his duty as a good Republican to pass my comments on to the higher-ups because otherwise they won't know what the people in the boonies are saying. He said he would. Well, who knows?
In a way, I felt sorry for this young volunteer. He sounded like he agreed with me, but his job was to say thanks and goodbye and move on to the next phone number, no matter his personal feelings.

call Sen. Smith and ask him if he's also going to ensure that the more important national priorities ala Economic Stimulus Plan, Energy Plan, Judges, etc., stop being filibustered so they can be passed.

In Oregon these days any Republican is automatically a RINO given the leftist leaning of a majority of the populace. Now he is also a spineless RINO (or this that redundant).

It would also ban the use of soft money to finance the broadcasting of issue ads, often thinly veiled means to attack or endorse a candidate, in the final 30 days of a primary or 60 days before a general election. Now there's some unbiased reporting for ya!

I guess you all just do not see this but EVERY important piece of legislation is whittled down & ONE vote ends up determining it - and all of these passed bills are NOT in a conservatives favor. Wise up. The "Two-party Cartel" is using you conservatives. You are the sheeple - not the dems--- the get their way ALL of the time . Get out & vote third party candidate - drop these RINOs. How much more can you take before total expression of speech is solidified? Most all of this was done with a pubbie Congress & now with a GW. Whether is vetoes or not the battle is over---he did not stand up & say NO, long before it got to this point. Is this what you call LEADERSHIP?????

This is SOOOO SAD, I could SREAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!! The pubbies are SLITTING THEIR OWN THROATS by passing this bill. IF W signs this piece of crap, it will endanger our party and the liberal excrements will always win elections. What part of NO do these spineless weak knee pubbie jerks do they NOT UNDERSTAND??? We need to fire up an EMAIL STORM like nothing they have EVER SEEN OR HEARD before!! I'm so sick of the walnutless pubbies, that I'm seriously considering changing parties! Their silence is DEAFENING and FRANKLY I SICK OF IT!! A president with an approval rate over 70% should be able to just about pass anything over the RATS. FORGET the BIPARTISAN, FEEL GOOD, CAN WE GET ALONG crap! IT WON'T WORK IN AT THE HILL!! THE RATS ARE EVIL and they will NEVER EVER PLAY FAIR. THEY are the AXIS OF EVIL in Ameria!

Bush is too closely tied to the Liberals to veto this. I truly hope it comes back to haunt him in the worst ways.

Bendict Arnold, Judas Iscariot, Ephialtes, Brutus, John McCain, Jeffords, now Gordon Smith - history repeats itself.
The Demos and traitor Republicans did a great job of setting up Bush. If he opposes the law, as he should, he faces public ire, if he edoesn't his political party, with the possible exception of the liberal RINOs who supported this thing, collapses around him.
If it survived the House, chances for opposition in the Senate was slim to nothing. Senate Republicans are more RINOish than House Republicans.
