A 'international super council'. What the heck is that? What is super about anything international or sprinkled with EuroTrash (ET)?

Press conference Judges if you please: Yeah, but it's the ordinals that count :)
To: Dog
But MSNBC reported that a judge admitted it -- or talked to a newspaper about it!

I predict mainstream usage of the term "Eurotrash" is about to skyrocket. Add it to the lexicon.
To: Chief Inspector Clouseau
As an aside, is NBC Infobabe Kelli O'Donnell related to NBC Infobabe Nora O'Donnell? They've both got the red hair thing going. (Of course, they are Irish).

This happens all the time in skating. The 'judges' have their favorites and the rest are history. Yes, judges have always had their favorites. But now we are talking about a "fixed" competition, something entirely different.

I am clueless (or maybe I was too young, maybe both). Please fill me in on what happened in the U.S. v. Soviet basketball game. Thanks.
To: Howlin
We all saw the USA - Soviet Union basketball game You had to bring that up. I never watched the Olympics after that.
To: maggiefluffs
They just managed to PRY that out of him. Somebody asked him that directly and I guess he decided that he couldn't lie about that one!
No official investigation has been started!

It will just ruin your day. We saw it live and it was UNBELIEVABLE.
I cannot even bring myself to describe it; maybe somebody else will.
