What a bunch of backstabbing racists. The NAACP wanted the flag off the Statehouse. They got it. Now they want it off the Confederate Soldier's Monument. If South Carolina gives in again, what do you want to bet that the NAACP will demand removal of the monument next?

McCain said he understands that the "border patrols" will make some people feel uncomfortableand irate, and possibly violent.

..."We've been through other threats of intimidation. We're going to press on..."Just like you NAACP whackos will try doing in preventing free passage from one state to another. BTW, your are about three generations behind in labeling your enterprise. Are you still "colored" or African American? If the latter, then you should be the NAAAA.
These people don't even recognize that they are supposed to be Americans.
Twelve per cent of the population stirs the pot of American turmoil among ourselves.

If we get a couple of days notice, I'd be glad to start a convoy from Northern Virginia. We could pick up quite a gaggle between here and the NC/SC border. After we get there we find the first rest stop on I-95, FReep 'em good and then go spend some money in South Carolina.

James said the NAACP won't stop until what he calls "the flag of hate, the flag of slavery"
is removed from Statehouse grounds.
Wasn't this "horrible"flag placed on the statehouse by a Democrat in the first place. D-Sen Ernest Hollings I believe.

James has used very poor judgement in referring to the battleflag as the "Confederate swastika". That was the dumbest thing he could have done at this point, mark my words. This showed that he has no regard whatsoever for the people of South Carolina whether they're black, white or indian.
Showing such contempt was an extremely ignorant thing to do.

My wife and I will be visiting South Carolina either this weekend or the next. We will be spending money at the stores; at the gas stations; and at the restaurants. We are bringing several friends...they will also be spending money in the same venues. We will be driving separate vehicles...we will ALL be filling our tanks. The NAALCP can bite me where the sun doesn't shine.

Can you say ..."backlash?" I, for one, am sick of generalized protests designed to "raise" my conciousness--i.e., change my mind in a manner subordinate to someone elses prejudices, beliefs, or just plain egotistical needs.
To: aomagrat
We just moved down to South Carolina in November and cant believe that any group would intimidate visitors who want to spend money in their own state. Its like pi$$ing in your towns only well because you dont like the Mayor.
The local talk shows are having a real hoot over this, by the way. I would be laughing too if the potential for someone getting hurt werent so real.

Over 17 replies and no NAACP defenders or Southern bashers yet....I'm suprised ...is the Sherman thread still going? ...maybe they're distracted.

I'll be in South Carolina for my vacation. Haven't had one in over 10 years and this is a good reason for one - in SC.
To: aomagrat
Got any good links to some South Carolina vacation spots?

Don't eat CHECKERS burgers where part of your dollar goes to the NAACP

Remember, the black owned businesses will be the most affected by this boycott. The NAACP is just shooting their own in the feet with this plan. It won't work.

Well this settles it, I am heading down to Charleston for vacation this spring. I have allways enjoyed the Carolina Coast anyways it is beautiful down there!

Obviously these people have time on their hands. There is a real fight out there against terrorists and these NAACP hacks just spend their time trying to undermine Amarica by creating constant division.
To: aomagrat
I wonder just how many of these NAACP'ers are actually from SC? If Condon mails directly to SC members, will he be reaching the ones who are protesting? Hhmmmm.
To: aomagrat
I am very sure that there will be some very upset African American business owners in the state of SC that would put some pressure on the NAACP if people started to threaten to boycott THEIR business' unless they personally and publically object to this ridiculous border "thing". I encourage everyone to call businesses in the SC area and tell them of your intent to do just that. I assure you that the border "thing" will go away quickly when they lose the SC African American small business owners support! I can seriously picture the whole thing going down! Beautiful. Picture a dog running with his tail between his knees...looking back over his shoulder wondering what happened. By the way, this is my first post! Fun fun!
