"Winnick used to walk around the office saying he owned Jack Grubman and Jimmy Lee," says one former colleague, referring to fees paid to key underwriters at Citigroup's Salomon Smith Barney and J.P. Morgan Chase."
[Winnick's] "...life took a turn in the early 1970s when he joined Drexel Burnham Lambert. He developed a taste for the high life after he made his way to the Los Angeles office, where he worked on the bond sales desk alongside Michael Milken. While Milken ended up in jail for securities and reporting violations, Winnick escaped Drexel untarnished..."
Let's put the SQUEEZE on Winnick and get him to turn State's evidence against Terry McAuliffe, Robert Rubin, and Der SchleekMeister!! Betcha he RATS on 'em...MUD

Then we need to re-address Section 802 and ask "Why not?!"...all these Patriot Act provisions ought to have "sunset" dates on them, just to keep some level of accountability were a HildaBeast-type POTUS be empowered, if for no other reason.
"What really bothers me about this "war" is congress's refusal to officially declare war because they would have to specifically define all the enemies which must include the saudis according to the Prez's doctrine of any countries who aids, abets or harbours the terrorists are the enemy."
That's a close call, my FRiend...if we were to declare war, who or what would we declare as our enemy. The War on Drugs was never declared, and I feel that is an illegal and illogical war. The War on Poverty was never declared...still, we've spent over $6 Trillion on that Ill-fought, Ill-advised, and Illogical war. After we dispose of bin Laden and al queda, the War on Terrorism is goiong to be tougher to define, and not especially-easy to legislate.
"The Constitution is being and has been circumvented by political "fiat" by the people who swore an oath to uphold it."
That's been true since the late-30's, at least. Still, the Constitution is still there, and despite all the krap the SCOTUS has added in the way of un-Constitutional precedents, those can be overrode if we can get another coupla Justices in place who are willing to read the Constitution as a protection against Federal Guv'ment Largesse. Given the opportunity, I still retain hope that Dubyuh will appoint such Justice(s) in the next 6.5 years.
"With all that's been going on relative to restrictive new laws in the name of security, do you really believe Americans will wake up before it's too late?"
I ain't been hollerin' enuff lately, but I'll do my part in gettin' the word out, as I am sure you will, as well. What other choice do we have other than to continue to "Fight the Good Fight!!"?
"The traitors and their gang of thugs are still walking free when they should be in prison and except those of us who are passionate about that, the American people are not concerned. One of the reasons why is bush's statement early on was and I quote " let's move on"."
I still got dibs on the theory that Dubyuh's playin' 'possum with regards to Justice fer the Clintonoids. It ain't gonna take much to get the ball rollin' again either...if they were just to Indict Terry McAuliffe or Indict Robert Rubin, the evidence produced would most likely shock the krap outta the Sheeple!! I sincerely don't believe the Sheeple realize how corrupt Der SchleekMeister and his Henchmen actually were...but a trial or twelve would make it much clearer, IMHO.
"If ever incidents demanded National outrage it was Ruby Ridge and Waco and the people say nothing. When the fbi thugs were exonerated , the people said nothing. When at Waco, the government was concerned about the black helmeted, black booted "heroes" of law enforcement rather than the 70+ people who were burned to death by the actions of our "protectors". These same black helmeted, black booted "heroes" kidnapped Elian under the guise of law and the people said nothing."
You make a valid point...we knew how awful these RATS were, and we knew how feeble these RINOs were, how come other Americans haven't shown a similar interest in protecting what is Good and Special about America?! Waco and Ruby Ridge were astounding in the utter ruthlessness and unaccountability the Federal Guv'ment displayed...where was the outrage?! Well, maybe they're ready to get outraged now that they see their 401-K's taking a hit while McAuliffe, Rubin, and Clinton rake in the dirty donations!!
"Billions of our dollars are being spent and the people say nothing."
Sorry, dude, it's TRillions now...LOL!!
"Oops, excuse me while I adjust my tin foil hat. %>)"
It's not tinfoil hat-wearin' just to point out the problems, but you've got to continue to believe we've got the capacity to change things fer the better, which we will!!

"...a well-planned, well-funded, and well-executed campaign to damage the president politically at a time when his approval ratings seemed almost unchallengeably high. Those involved in the effort include former officials in the Clinton White House, veterans of liberal interest groups, sympathetic journalists, and some of the nation's richest labor unions."

"Daschle made a truly dumb statement the other day after Bush's speech. He basically said that promising tough enforcement of the current laws was an inadequate response, because those are the same laws that people have been getting around for years, and Bush needs to show leadership by proposing new laws."
People have NOT been getting away with these crimes for years...D'asshole's trying to rewrite history here just like they tried with passing Campaign Finance Reform, pass new laws and act like the past crimes never occurred.
"What he is saying is that because the current laws are weak (Congress hasn't done their job in passing adequate legislation), and the previous adminstration did not enforce the laws (not to mention pardoning one of the biggest offenders, Mark Rich), Bush is to blame because he is not telling the legislative branch how to do it's job. Daschle is admitting to his own and Clinton's incompetence, and blaming Bush for it. Amazing."
Well put...folks need to start explaining the current political situation in just such a way as we stand around the water cooler with co-workers or BBQ in the backyard with friends and family or tail-gate with fellow alumni this Fall. The whole DemonRAT Party structure has been Clintonized and is totally-fabricated outta lies and deception and the resulting fear their political strategy generates. The RAT Party of Fear and Lies must be dealt a harsh blow at the polls this November!!!

"After hearing that the state of Florida changed its opinion and let a Muslim woman have her picture on her drivers license with her face covered, I believe this is even more appropriate. Read on, please!
This is an Editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa newspaper. He did quite a job; didn't he?
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT!! I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely composed of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multi- cultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!
"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from.
This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so. But, once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE."

Oh? College education really teaches communication? Communal living perhaps. Expressing yourself through nudity and, orgies, and getting throwing-up drunk.
No better communicators than Coulter, Rush, or Hannity... although Mark Levin is probably better than any of those three when he feels like it. So is Rohrabacher. And B1 Bob Dornan used to be riveting. [Hadn't heard his radio show yet.] But then there's the speech-meister, Alan Keyes. I keep thinking of others. LOL. Like Traficant. My goodness. I'm bound to think of another. People that would catch most any person's attention and make sense to three out of four.
Which is a more powerful voice? Here is a good acid test.... the finance scandals. 51% think Clintoon is more to blame than Bush.
Liberals only get their way these days from the inertia of the past... certain foundations, the ABA, the UN. Institutions that are immune from the vote. Or from sneaky or knee-jerk legislation.
My hope is that Bush stand firm with judicial appointments and pull the rug out from under the ICC before any soldiers are indicted. Neither liberal judges nor the UN/ICC are popular in any way. If Bush could overcome both of those obstacles, that would make every compromise worth the pain in the long run. Otherwise, the inertia of the past would swallow up the current public will.
