hmmm let's see, my husband was flying in from BWI airport yesterday, on my way to get into the shower I hear something is going on at the airport, I miss 1/2 of the report but leave from getting into the shower, log on here to find out what is going on. You know, figuring people on Free Republic would be mature enough to answer a very simple question in regards to BWI being evacuated. Instead I'm bombarded with immature jerks having masturbatory fantasies because I mention the word shower and I'm the one who has to live it down?
More juvenile comments from kindergarden set around here. So typical

Sorry for the double post. I hit the "Stop" button to add RBA and it did "Stop", but posted anyway. . .

Sheese, I hope no one gives the Mods the idea to charge for each post they remove. I'll go broke!

Hey... I like that idea!

Sorry you were treated rudely. Considering how many people are active on FR, it is not surprising that some of them are people you wouldn't want to meet personally. Those who made the comments are in love with their own so-called wit. Their tacky posts had everything to do with the kind of people
they are, not the kind of person
you are. Don't take the insults to heart.
Now, don't start flaming me, folks. You know who you are. I imagine you probably are old enough to treat others with respect and to abide by FR rules when posting, even if your behavior today does not demonstrate this maturity.

More juvenile comments from kindergarden set around here. So typical Yes.
Their comments are not only puerile (the nicest way to put it) but inappropriate. They forget this is a news and information web site.

While we are talking about Delta, I was thru the Delta Fort Lauderdale terminal in January and I see how Broward County couldn't count votes. It was the most disorganized mess I have ever seen. Like another freeper said "I've seen more organiztion in a $hit fight @ the monkey house."

"You know, figuring people on Free Republic would be mature enough to answer a very simple question in regards to BWI being evacuated. Instead I'm bombarded with immature jerks having ..." It didn't used to be that way. A simple, earnest question would be rewarded - within a few replies - of the correct and detailed answer. Unfortunately, word about FR apparently spread over to Usenet, where the Mode de Jour is to deride all serious queries and deflect all attempts at a straight answer.
Witness the Moose & Cheese thread the other day. Someone who was new wanted to know what the big joke was about mooses and cheese. 300+ posts later, not one straight answer. Just a bunch of adolescent, juvenile one-liners full of derision - the mark of a gaggle of children who are too full of themselves by half.
This is one of the reasons why I don't spend NEARLY as much time on FR as I once did. Back a few months, FR was a great place to discuss breaking news, issues, etc. Now, if there's a breaking story, the first 10 replies will be snide jokes, followed by someone's 40-post bump list, and then everyone gets into Full Usenet One-Line-Reply Mode. It's become almost impossible to get useful information around here.
Of course, that's just what these disruptors want. Destroy the enemy from within.

Probably a union organizer, since Delta flight attendants voted not to unionize

FWIW...I read last month that O'Hare just retook the lead as busiest airport. If you read it, it must be true. At least I hope so. If you want to walk from Hartsfield's ticket counters to its most distant gates, you'd better pack a lunch, or be prepared to pay three prices for junk food.

Ma'am, you deserved an apology. The sophomoric high-fiving that accompanied your inquiry was a disgrace.
Those who see cause to joke when other's loved ones may be in harm's way, are the dregs.
But that's OK, apparently. If you're "conservative" and hate Clinton you're allowed to act like a jerk.

Not that I'm a fan of CNN but I listen to them on the radio from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. in the morning (because there is nothing else to listen to) and they DID report that a there was a bomb threat at Hartsfield.
To: proudofthesouth
I just meant at the time, FOX had it first, and it was happening in CNN's backyard.

Hartsfield is the largest airport. Actually, the busiest according to take offs and landings, the most prestigious category among airports. What's your problem?
