All life forms are carbon based, so your phrase is redundant. Only the ones we know about.

...."Did you hear Fred Barnes say that Fritz Hollings had ALL his facts wrong today>>>>>
Fred was for some reason being kind.
The old man lied. That is he lied.
He got so flustered that he just out and out lied

We can thank Ken Lay for putting this gem in office. (Remember, he is a "Republican.") Okay, I'll bite. Why do we have to thank Ken Lay for this?

RE: Post #2
LOL, that's a good one.
To: Random Access
Thing is, I'm not entirely convinced that she's carbon-based.
To: BenR2
Isn't she the same congressperson that refused to say the Pledge of Allegiance because it was "racist"?
To: ContraryMary
Okay, I'll bite. Why do we have to thank Ken Lay for this? I can't answer for Ben, but Ken Lay has taken a very active role in Houston politics, mostly for people we don't like.
How much of a hand he had in selecting Sheila for this seat which had been Barbara Jordan's I don't know. But Lay actively supported the re-election of Lee Brown, the inept liberal mayor of Houston.
Lay is apolitical, as far as I can tell. Whoever is likely to win is who he backs. He always wanted to back the winner. Sheila and her district are rock-solid Democrat winners. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he had a hand in helping someone to win that district.

"Okay, I'll bite. Why do we have to thank Ken Lay for this?" LOL!! Me too! I was thinking the same thing.
To: ContraryMary
The truth is, now that he's resigned, we can blame 'ole Ken for everything. Isn't that how the corporate world works?
To: BenR2
It seems her operating philosophy runs like this: "I am a queen, and YOU are either my willing slave -- or a bleeping racist." this is actually a very liberal attitude. We've all heard stories like this. Michael Medved has said that he encounter a lot of famous liberals who acted like Lee in private. I guess that if you believe that the only way to improve the world is through Government decrees, then personal behavior does not matter. You can act like the devil as long as you support the right issues.

She also has a lover boy, (uh, did I say roy?)who carries a gun he bought at a gun show. This woman is an idiot who votes the way the liberal whiteys in Congress tell her to vote. That's why she'll never be reprimanded for her behavior.
To: otterpond
She's not dumb. The voters who elected her are.
To: stimulate
She's not dumb. The voters who elected her are. Then, let's just agree that she and the voters who elected her speak the same language.
To: B Knotts
Thing is, I'm not entirely convinced that she's carbon-based. That would be a "I have sosme good news and some bad news".
