The real reason CNN/MSNBC,CBS,ABC,NBC,CSPAN do not want to mention Global Crossing goes beyond Global Crossing.

The real villian which cooked the books and lied to stock holders is Arthur Andersen.

Thanks to DemonicRat Senator Dodd who receive outrageous amounts of money, Arthur Andersen was enabled to be able to lie, collect massive consulting fees and be freed from penalties when their clients/companies go belly up! Dodd got a bill passed that even the Bent One vetoed, that enabled Arthur Andersen to do its vile deeds.

It was on account of Dodd's tireless efforts that Arthur Andersen was able to act as both "independent auditor" and management consultant to Enron for $100 million a year.

That role - so fraught with conflict of interest that it makes a joke of the concept of outside auditors protecting shareholders - has been identified as one of the major causes of the debacle.

In 1995, it was Dodd who rammed through legislation, overriding President Clinton's veto, to protect firms like Andersen from lawsuits in cases just like Enron.

The Dodd bill limited liability for lawyers and accountants for "aiding and abetting" corporate fraud by their clients, making them liable only for their "proportionate" share of the blame, rather than for the entire fraud.

So, if an accounting firm kept secret the true picture of a corporation's finances, it would only be liable for part of the total fraud on the investors. For shareholders, this law is awful - the fraudulent company has usually lost nearly all its value before the shareholder learns about it, so there's nothing left.

For the accounting firm, though, it's great - the shareholders can't pin the total losses on you. And from Andersen's point of view, it was really wonderful, because they were already facing thousands of lawsuits for their role in securities fraud.

A grateful accounting industry showed its appreciation to Sen. Dodd by contributing $345,903 to his campaign between 1993 and 1997. Every major accounting firm pitched in - Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young, Coopers & Lybrand, Peat Marwick, Price Waterhouse. (Dodd has received more money from Arthur Andersen than any other Democrat - $54,843.)

From '93 to '97, Dodd also received $523,551 from the securities industry, which was thrilled with other provisions of the '95 law that limited liability from securities lawsuits, notably for firms that failed to live up to their predictions about future earnings. Consumer groups had opposed the legislation -

For the full sickening story, go to (Dodd, the enabler of Arthur Andersen and corporate crooks)

Dodd, DemonicRat, who helps the big crooks and $crews the rest of America!

This is the big story that the left wing super rich mediots who control the media are trying spike and avoid.

This is why the Wh$re is in charge of the GAO is going after Dick Cheney. This Wh$re was a former partner of Arthur Andersen and was appointed by the Clintoon. We need to investigate the millions of our tax $'s that went to Arthur Anderson that were authorized by their wh$re in charge of the GAO!

Dodd is a fraud! No wonder you haven't heard a peep out of him. He was so dishonest as co-chairman of the DNC, now this comes out.

No doubt the mindless Dem voters of Connecticut will reelect him!

He is as corrupt as his father was! The fruit didn't fall far from the tree in this instance!

If you think the Enron situation stinks, just wait until all the information on GX and the Democrats surfaces. I would imagine that right now there are many Dems, most specifically Robert Toricelli, who is calling his old buddy Joe Lieberman and telling him to back off. Next someone will start investigating the corruption that permeates the tech sector in the Silicon Valley, California (whose two counties voted Gore 440,000 and Bush 235,000 in the last election).

The reason you have missed it is because while it was going broke GX was one of the top ten soft money contributors in 2001. It spent in excess of $600K, two thirds of which went to Democrats. Second, once you open the GX can of worms you have to move on to NextWave, with its close ties to GX and to the Dems. NextWave is another bankrupt outfit, but its CEO Allen Salmasi still managed to contribute $10K to Torricelli's Defense Fund.

From Global Crossing to NextWave to Allen Salmasi, one then has to check out the Clinton tie to Salmasi, Salmasi's ties to the former Drexel Burnham Lambert gang and to Bay Harbour Management. Then you not only have to check the involvment of Torricelli, but Schumer as well. In other words, still waters run deep on this one, and the press doesn't know where it might lead. However, all preliminary indications are that this one can tar the Democrats badly.

I've got my pencil, and I'm playing your game of connect the dots. It looks like the dots are going to end up in a picture of any ugly monster! LOL

You are welcome. Please use it PRN with your friends in the State of Dodd/Arthur Andersen!

Here is a photo by Registered to help drive home the impact of Arthur Andersen as enabled by Senator Dodd/Andersen.

Here are a few more dots: In March 1999 Global Crossing bought out Frontier for $11.2 billion in stock. From that moment there were many on Wall Street who warned that GX greed would catch up to it. The people, especially unionized personnel at Frontier worried that the agreement allowed their pension plan to be raided. That was still a concern a year later. What has happened to the pension funds for GX and Frontier is yet another worthy story.

Why won't they report it? Because the Democrats are neck effin deep in coverup and are guilty of quid pro quos and this would get in the way of telling lies to the public about Enron and Bush. FOX has already reported on this and even Hannity confronted McCauliffe on it last evening.

BTW - I also watched MSNBC last night and after Alan Simpson appeared I did not see another Republican for about and hour and a half.

Some other things to consider: Why was former SecDef William Cohen named to Global Crossing Board of Directors last year. Was he an easy mark? Certainly it brought no credit to his own Cohen Group, a Kissinger group wannabe. Then there are other relationships, e.g., the Asia Global Crossing group, the presence of the Trust Company of the West in all this, and one wonder's what Silicon Valley tycoon Jeo J. Hindery Jr., has to say about his own stupid involvement with Global Crossing. Then too, someone might want to get to Tom Goff, Global Crossing, Beverly Hills; now there would be a good interview.
