Maybe I've had one too many margeratias, but I can't decide who the author is. Great essay.
Bush has got the Democrats so snookered that they can't even touch a ball, much less bank one.
It was a hoot watching W route the Democrats in Texas. When he first got elected there were no Republicans holding statewide office. When he resigned to become President six years later, all of the state wide elected and appointed officials were Republican.
Hide and watch. This is gonna be a wild ride.

Great job, Mr President.
Yes indeed, GREAT JOB MR. PRESIDENT.
Today I was able to look at my 6 year old daughter and PROUDLY state, "THAT IS OUR PRESIDENT".
The night of the elections, I was close to terror, to think that Gore might win the election, then what would my daughters future look like? to say that I was relieved when Bush won, is an understatement!!
This Man, PRESIDENT Bush, is MY President, and I am PROUD!!!

As a Texas Freeper I chuckle as President Bush dismantles the Democrats. I have seen his work in Texas and no one does it better.
By the end of this year the short reign of Tom Daschle will be over and the Government will be in the control of the Republicans.Shortly after the election the Rats will have a hard time finding someone to run against W.

GW is the hardest working president in my memory....and he deserves all the acolades he gets....and more. I hope he inspires other decent and honorable people to throw their hats in the ring...now that they see that they CAN make a difference. Washington had become like an open sewer...attracting rats, most of whom are but one step ahead of the vice squad.
Statesmanship is in vogue these days. Smarmy politics is definitely out!

Great article by JH. He posted it on a thread some place, I saved it for posterity.
I believe the media will be buzzing about this for a while. When I watched it for a second time I caught a few things I missed. Like the veiled criticism of the Saudi's for being "timid in their response to terrorism".
I had time to reflect on the "Freedom corps." The idea I had a while back was that the draft may be needed again. Not for the military,(It would not work with the modern military)but for the border security and homeland defense. I pondered how we could do it without the draft? Now I know.
What a enlightening and thought provoking monster of a home run speech!
Not only out of the park, but into orbit.

But, but, but...Bush was selected not elected is still the only Dem response.

Our revival was another black eye for terrorism. Amen to that! What a stupendous effort Bush gave, and how well rewarded he was -- my cup runs over with gratitude that Bush, not Gore, could be there to give us the State of the Union last night. The first time I watched it (live) I found myself teary-eyed several times, during W's thanks to our military, etc. The second time I watched, I was smiling, smiling, smiling. Just full of joy at what he said and where he is leading us. And whom he is scaring overseas.
JH2, another slam dunk. =)

Bump for a GREAT article. Thanks JH2 and TLBSHOW!

For those who suggest this President will postpone a war on Iraq till after the midterm elections, the Commander-in-Chief will have disabused them of that notion tonight. It is a shame that an event like 911 had to happen to make this above statement a reality that the "dims" just cant accept.
The dems are going to fight tooth and nail to end the war campaign as they know a strong Bush in November is going to kill them in the elections. I think the midterm elections this year are going to be more run then the Florida Fiasco.

in an ABC News Poll....in an unreported aspect of the poll (what a surprise).....the GOP has a 7-point lead in voters for what people want to see in Nov. control Congress. According to Haley Barber, this is the largest GOP lead ever.....if this is true, we could see a year where the GOP takes the Congress in a record majority
