Your observation has merit. As a nation, we have been around for 225 years. It, indeed, takes government a lot of time to perform it's responsibilities.
But I won't hold my breath, anymore.

Ha! You're right. But he IS kicking his Clymer around the studio!

Chris Matthews is giving Rahm Emanuel a licking! Tuning in now but I'm sure it was pre-arranged for ratings now that fox has trampled them. Oh no, The Torch is on. I had enough thanks.

Understood. Things have certainly changed a lot in a couple of hundred years. But they have a better chance of changing with a Repub in the Oval Office than a Dem, from this perspective.

Its awfully difficult to justify it as just capitalism when your a Dem and its okie dokie but capitalism when your a Rep is just outrageous.

good catch and summation, until now I hadn't given much thought to the meaning of her presence in the gallery, not sure what the POTUS was discussing when the camera sought out this female Lt.Col., now wondering if it was related to Saudi demands on same

Why were Souter and Kennedy the only Supreme Court Justices dressed up and why were they sitting separately from the other justices?

I saw McCauliff on with Shepard SmithThat's right.....it was Shepard Smith.
O'Reilly is live now and his lead-in mentioned McAuliffe feeling the heat. Fox will probably be the only one that spends any time on it.

Why wouldn't Ferraro, a big government liberal, love the speech? Bush threw everything in there but the kitchen sink. I loved his war message, but the longer he talked, the more the federal government grew. And why do we have to exclude Christianity and Judaism from direct references in political speech, but Islam got effervescent praise from W, as if all that is good stemmed from Mohammed? Way too much butt kissing and pandering in this speech - it ruined it for me. Yes, I'll support Bush as a better alternative to the dreaded Dems, but I'm disappointed in his overall agenda. C'mon fellow conservatives - more homes for minorities, protecting all citizens from bad investments, free prescriptions for all old folks, happy with a tiny tax cut, another Peace Corps that caters to Islam (as if they want our infidel help). Lesser of two evils, I suppose...

Chris Matthews is trying his hardest to trash this speech. He sounds like Iraq's butt boy. Geraldine Ferraro (?sp) thought is was a fantastic speech. Tom Brokaw has declared Enron pretty much of a dead issue.
Just bits & peices while surfing after the sppech.

Ferraldo is no different than Cliff only nicer. She is barf to me.
McCain coming up on MSNBC. Matthews and McCain will make out for a while, then they'll talk about the speech.

W has a 124% approval rating from the American People while the number one question from likely voters is: "Dashle, who???"
Well, I guess we got the poll numbers we always wanted, but at what price? A Pyhrric victory if there ever was one.

Great speech by the President.
Dubya remains on a roll!
Go Bush Go

Definately. But, let's see what happens with a Republican House and Senate, it may get better.
