They had a room full of folks from FloriDUH and they asked them if Mr. Bush deserved the 84% approval rating, a show of hands went up with all the crowd there voting YES!! Well, good for the folks of Florida. So maybe you could stop calling it FloriDUH, then? Im an admirer of Texas, and Id hate to adopt the thinking that because some people from Texas are idiots, all of them must be.

It might have been a fine speech but there is a problem with his priorities for government. He allows our troops in Kosovo while denying our own borders from continuous foreign and illegal intrusion.
Sooner or later, this policy will doom America.

Hi JH2. I thought it was one of his best. He is so at ease with himself and his honesty and determination is so disarming to those rats that are waiting to chew hin up.
He radiates confidence and sincerity and I can't think of a time our country needed it more.

...Great finishing line.

I agree. This was a great thread. You may pick up your parting gifts at the door.

Brian and Howard Fineman both summed it up when they talked about the dilemma the Dim-o-crats face after this speech. (Not good for the Dims) It looks like Fineman has become very good friends with Grecian Formula!

No, but it was jarring after President Bush's speech. Gephardt took all of the credit for the civility that existed after 9/11.

Wondered if anyone else saw the camera focus on Lynne Cheney?? She was not her usual smiling self. ??

while denying our own borders from continuous foreign and illegal intrusion. He mentioned more of an emphasis on border security. It takes time...

Did you notice the comment on how too long we have adhered (as a nation) to the "if it feels good do it" philosophy? I think that (along with the comment about the terrorist build-up over the last "decade") was a direct hit on the Clinton-way-of-life.

He suffered greatly just to crack a smile after the vote...I LOVE IT!!!!!I wish I had seen it. But I'll have to settle for just knowing it happened......lol

Speaking of Global Crossing... Have you seen Terry McCauliff on all the news shows trying to spin his way out of this? It's all Capitolism. Ha ha ha ha!!!!

Global Crossing... Someone asked this before. Did GX ever report a year in which they turned a profit? Was wondering about this. Do know that they chewed up Frontier and spit them out. A shame...

Apparently, W pulled the rug from under the RATS feet!! SO FAR, the speech by W, has gotten VERY POSITIVE reviews from the media excrements. Not looking good for the rats at all!

Wondered if anyone else saw the camera focus on Lynne Cheney?? She was not her usual smiling self. ??I did notice. She looked troubled or at least serious. Oh well, maybe she just has a lot on her mind.

Yep, that was her. I thought it was a fantastic thumbing- of-the-nose at the Saudi's. As in, "See, we can have disagreements about policy in our country and not have to execute someone over it." I noticed she said "Amen" to what Bush was saying.
