TALLAHASSEE, Florida (CNN) -- The daughter of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was arrested early Tuesday after she allegedly tried to fill a false prescription at a pharmacy, Tallahassee, Florida, police said.
Noelle Bush was picked up by police at a Walgreens store and charged with fraudulently obtaining a controlled substance, a jail spokesman said. Police said she was attempting to obtain Xanax, which is used to treat anxiety disorder. The drug can make users feel drowsy and dizzy as it reduces nervousness and tension.

I've never known drugs (prescribed or otherwise) or alchohol to make any bad situation better (speaking from experience). I can only feel bad for the parents in these cases and yours as well. As the father of teenage daughter I am constantly reminded of what lies in store for young people, and I know what I put my parents through when I was an ignoramous who thought he knew it all. The best of luck to you and your son and his family, and to hell with the quacks who try and solve everyone's problems with chemicals.

Exactly. I bet Veronica panics around asprin too. :)If aspirin were discovered today, it would never get FDA approval. Too many side effects, a significant percentage of the population is alergic, not to metion the risk of Reyes syndrome in children...

I had a family member who took Xanax for anxiety after the death of a loved one. A fairly high dose for about a year. All fine and dandy till it was time to get off it. That part was Hell. Made the mistake of stopping cold turkey. Got very ill. Very. Doc then reduced it slowly over several months and still, each time the dose was reduced it was body aches, chills and very bad headaches for days till things calmed down. Ever had personal experience with Xanax?

Most arrests photos tend to be scary In fact I've always given credit to Bill Gates for smiling in his mug shot.

Why isn't this woman locked in a cage with violent criminals yet? She broke THE LAW. She is a "drug offender". She must be caged and then labelled as such for the rest of her life. Nothing else will suffice. The guilty must be punished, even if they are guilty of nothing. THE LAW must be respected, even if it is senseless. Obey THE LAW, and you will be left alone. Perhaps.

Anyone want to put the Kennedy "dynasty" up against the Bush "dynasty" for dysfunctional kids?

That is a horrible photo of Noelle. I'm sure the idiots waited for just the right time to snap the picture. I wonder if this problem of hers had anything to do with her not being at President Bush's inaugural? These Bush girls, I don't know.

As a former addict, I can vouch. Rehab only works for those who ask for it first. For those it is thrust upon, it is nothing more than a time period to straighten out, freshen up, and then go back out once they are free.

I'm sure the idiots waited for just the right time to snap the picture. I'll bet if we looked into the bookings officers' background, we'll find a Clintoon connection. Any freepers in Tallahassee?

They all had the same access but the druggies were always Westerners. Forbidden fruit.

Shouldn't she be locked in a cage? She broke THE LAW, just like the 600,000 people who will be arrested this year for possessing a naturally-occurring lifeform. So why am I so certain she'll not be sentenced to some ridiculous "mandatory minimum" and rot in jail for years and years like so many other harmless people who have committed no crime that fits the definition of the word? Get this - she was charged with a FELONY. Yep, it'll be interesting to see how much time she doesn't get. The rich and powerfull are not subject to the laws of the rest of us.
