I've never known drugs (prescribed or otherwise) or alchohol to make any bad situation better (speaking from experience). I can only feel bad for the parents in these cases and yours as well. As the father of teenage daughter I am constantly reminded of what lies in store for young people, and I know what I put my parents through when I was an ignoramous who thought he knew it all. The best of luck to you and your son and his family, and to hell with the quacks who try and solve everyone's problems with chemicals.

My son says he's gonna wean himself off this crap. Replace it with working out, drinking more water, and counseling. I am so grateful for the information I found on this site. Thanks to all for your uplifting comments.
