Can you do another thread (more of a classroom exercise) on the proper usage of the "Search" feature, and how to do a search for articles so duplicate posts might happen less? Might have to start with "Class, this is your mouse..."

I am not really arguing Sentry's point here, because I agree with his general premise, which is that the Republicans have not stemmed the tide of governmental growth effectively at all.
However, adjusting for inflation is not sufficient to give a real indication, Sentry. You also have to adjust for population growth.
One thing that has to be understood is that while conservatives have held a lot of sway in the Republican party, we have not been the overwhelming majority in the Republican party often, if ever. But we are a lot closer to accomplishing that than we are to accomplishing something such as turning a third party into a viable option.

When conservative candidates incline against conservative principles, what should be the response of Freepers?Constructive criticism.

I always do a search before posting an article. But sometimes when the titles are changed they don't show up. So yeah, I'm definitely guilty of posting duplicates..but it's certainly not intentional!
All my trashy posts are though ;-P

Given that the democrats have gone almost 100% liberal I don't know if that distinction can be made today
This is true. A "conservative" Democrat is a relative term. At
best such a beast would be in reality a centrist, and other than Zell Miller I am not sure I can think of any (and he is not as conservative as he has been playing lately, unless he has changed his stripes from his days as my Governor when I lived down there).
Today's Democrats are liberals, socialists, and communists. And those to the left of them make up the Nader/Green Party goons.

He already gave instructions
here. It doesn't get any simpler than that.

I agree. These cute play on words get tiring, after awhile, and they are not even funny or in most cases cleaver.
Affirmed. Then we cleaver unto this: Never again shall we call the extinguished Senator from South Dakota Senator Douchebag...

I promise never to refer to the distinguished gentleman as Senator Dasshole, but I can't recall seeing it spelled any other way, so I'm not sure how else to spell it!

Yep, I had one today.
To: TomServo
I have it bookmarked already, too. But how many people will take the time to search for a thread about how to, or reminding to, search? See the irony here?
To: Dales
A "conservative" Democrat Definition: A person ashamed to be a Democrat but lacks the integrity to change.
To: TomServo
See post 414. Thoughts?
To: RedBloodedAmerican
I thought a conservative Democrat was one with only one hand in your wallet.

This is my mouse, this is my gun, this is for FReeping, this is for fun.....
To: RedBloodedAmerican
I used bump it every so often. I gave up though because so many people just post without searching anyway. Most just don't care. I used to nail folks for double-posting, but now I just hit the 'abuse' button and let the moderators handle it.
