I'm really not convinced there is a fear factor or mutual guilt holding back the Bush Administration. Some other poster made a very salient point a while back, that no sitting administration had ever approved of looking back for wrongdoings by its predecessors. It may be that simple.

I sure want to think that Bush is a decent human being myself. I may be naive and all that, but the Bush that I see is not the same one that the Bush bashers here on FR portray.
I am hoping that when all is said and done that the information is pried away into the sunshine and clintoon is revealed for all the things he did, and that there is nothing on George Bush. . .
True, but how many predecessors have inserted themselves so boldly against the policies of their successors. Bill Clinton, just after blaming Americans for the terrorist attacks of September 11, celebrated the anniversary of same by joking about blowing his saxaphone on Letterman's show. Clinton, by leading the democrats' attack against this administration for political advantages, is underming the unity of these United States in our war against terror. He should be exposed as the traitor he is.
