More Clinton Corruption - Enron
attributed to Time Magazine, 1995 | est 1997 | unknown

"On Nov. 22, 1995,...Clinton scrawled an FYI note to McLarty, enclosing a newspaper article on Enron Corp. and the vicissitudes of its $3 billion power-plant project in India. McLarty then reached out to Enron's chairman, KEN LAY, and over the next nine months closely monitored the project with the U.S. ambassador to New Delhi, keeping Lay informed of the Administration's efforts, according to White House documents reviewed by TIME. In June 1996,  four days before India granted final approval to Enron's project, Lay's company gave $100,000 to the President's party. Enron denies that its gift was repayment for Clinton's attention, and White House special counsel LANNY DAVIS says McLarty acted out of concern for a major U.S. investment overseas.- Time "

There is just so much of this stuff. The Republicans should DEMAND a complete invesigations of Enron and federal corruption. As crooked as Enron appears to be, they were just made for the Clinton administration and the filth and corruption of his White House sewer dwellers. Maybe the media, after years of hiding this stuff, will examine the details if they think they can trap Republicans.

I wonder if Hillary is going to blame it all on the greedy 1990's?

Elite Media will drop Enron stories like hot potatoes when corruption points to Clinton and Democrats. It's only a story if it hurts Republicans. Did Lucent lose value? Did stockholders get hurt? Does anyone care?

Of course. They knew how to break the law and not get caught. Gotta admit, that is a fantastic success! There are crook rotting in jail for years that would like to learn his secret.

I believe that Enron should be explained/positioned/spun as another Clinton mess that blewup on GW's watch.
Apparently (and fortunately) GW had the good sense not to get caught in the mess.

I feel it was more than luck. Clinton seemed always on the take, Bush, not. Different styles. One honest, one not.

Apparently (and fortunately) GW had the good sense not to get caught in the mess.
