***Media Getting Set Up To Be Burned Big Time By Enron Story***
Stardate: 0201.13

Posted on 01/13/2002 4:38:46 AM PST by The Wizard

A Media, TV Press, et al that spent all it's time defending the Clinton lies, and giving a lot of space and time to the Clinton lacky's, has just about let it's glee at the potential to attack an honest President, and help make the democrats look less crooked by implying the old stand by:"they all do it" walk themselves into a fatal trap.

Being led by the notorious Waxman, defender of any corrrupt democrat, the criminal liberal media is allowing itself to be used to make a case that isn't there.

They fell so flat in the beginning, because the Bush Administration WASN'T corrupt like the last bunch of bought and paid for crooks, that they have already started to retreat into the claims that BECAUSE the Bush Administration DIDN'T do anything wrong there is a problem

The media whores are about to spend their most important chip, credibility, to support the liars and cheats in congress and the democrat party, clinton's old guard, to help sell a story that doesn't exist, putting them even more visibly in bed with the American terrorists that have attacked the country since the election of Smilin' Bill "Capone"

Some of the smarter people, like Wolf Blitzer have already seen how they have been set up and are starting to retreat.....

Whoraldo even got out of the country, (you think he just decided to leave???)

We'll soon see who are real reporters and who are on the payroll, won't we....

Addendum [from another source] to Washpost article.
Enron grew 25% while courting the Democrats during the Clinton Administration....

This thing has gone full circle. Today I've seen complaints (on TV) that this administration did nothing to help Enron.

"Some sentence. Where's the editor for this rag?"

The source is not well identified. It may just be a vanity. If so, please be kind. Most of us write as well as we can.

Sorry, but invoking the Clintons and other rats is not going to make this go away. This is heart-attack serious for Bush. Sure Enron gave to the rats too. But there's an undeniably big imbalance in the amounts given to rats versus the good guys.

And, Don Evans looked absolutely inept with his stammering and stuttering while answering tough questions from Tim Russert this morning.

You keep repeating this theme from thread to thread - you're a (democRat) 'plant', aren't you?

LOLOL oh, the media tripping over itself to back away from blaming President Bush. Just heard ABC radio news at 10a.m. and they played Senator Levin saying that the failure of Enron hurt democrats, republicans, and independents. That was their entire sound bite!!!! LOLOL

Since the media spent so much time suggesting the Bush administration did something to help their friend Ken Lay, they are now unable to pick up the Waxman mantra....that President Bush refused to help BUT SHOULD HAVE!!! Even the media knows that dog won't hunt!!!!

I agree that this should be an argument against CFR:

The best campaign finance reform is honest politicians, which the administration appears to be. Enron got much more out of the Clinton, for a lot less dough, than Enron got out of Bush. However, I really doubt any one will report it this way. So, I think McCain gets back in the spotlight and starts pushing again. Of course, W has always backed banning corporations from donations and I do too. It's the ban on individuals and the ban on advocacy ads that I don't like.

Yeah, it's real easy, isn't it: go to their profile and check date of sign-up. Recent date indicates - not confirms - likelihood of RAT status. Then, click on "Find in Forum" and check out a few posts of theirs. Usually doesn't take but a few readings of their posts to determine where they come from......they don't stand a chance.

From the WashPost:
Enron officials later expressed elation at the results of the Kyoto conference. An internal memo said the Kyoto agreement, if implemented, would "do more to promote Enron's business than almost any other regulatory initiative outside of restructuring the energy and natural gas industries in Europe and the United States."

Kyoto would do more to promote Enron than..

LOL! And we all know how much W and the Bush administration support Kyoto! Good grief...this is getting more comical by the minute. Message to the press: be careful what you wish for! GO W!

What part of DaGam's post do you disagree with? Evans on MTP? I have read too many conflicting comments on his appearance. I have learned, however, to take the most rabid ones in stride as some of the opinions are much more strident than mine would ever be. I have read so many times where someone just rips into a guest as totally lame, etc. and then I watch the show and think the guest was just fine.
