Tim Russert showed a quote by Waxman, saying (paraphrase) that the Whitehouse knew of Enron's problems and did nothing to help out thousands of people from losing their savings.

That's it?

That is Waxmans beef?

Waxman is upset because Bush didn't bring Big Government to step in and take control? I thought the Dems were supposedly against "more government". And here Waxman is complaining because there is not enough?

Waxmans an idiot!

And Bush has not a single connection to Enron as Clinton(s) did with Whitewater!

This is a ploy set up by the Dems and Hillary will show to be behind it!! What idiots!

Well, I'll sure agree that Waxman's an idiot- and a rotten one, too.... claims to be anti-tobacco "for the children's sake" but one of his big supporters is a Chinese tobacco firm.
( sorry, no link, I heard this on talk radio years ago! )

I just can't bear to watch the fools on these shows anymore- even C-Span's been corrupted, don't watch them, either.

If Bush administration had stepped in to help ENRON, Waxman would have screamed "fatcat favoritism".

Sine Bush administration refused to step in to help ENRON, Waxman screams, "Bush didn't step in to help the little people".

Waxman's nostrils would be flaring no matter what Bush does..it won't be too long before Waxman's attack dog politics hurts all democrats.

Kristol says it will soon become evident the Clinton administration did more for ENRON than Bush Administration.

Timmy remnds me of "The Little Locomotive That Could."

"I think I can, I think I can" get Don Evans to implicate the Bush administration. Think again Timmy, ain't gonna happen.

Sooner or later these guyz will have to hang their collective lamestream heads and admit the Bushies are above the fray.

Can we please start killing Sadam or something. Anything that's real news.

The abysmal ignorance of many in the Congress and most of the media is so transparent. Just what was the Bush administration supposed to do?

Maybe the President should have gone on TV and told the Enron employees and the stockholders that Enron was going bankrupt. The next morning, all of these people would have put their stock up for sale. Does anyone believe that the share price would have done anything but tank immediately?? Anybody?

Oh, and BTW, how many of the Enron employees who are complaining that their 401-k's are now useless and they have lost hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars are counting the "unrealized capital gains" resulting from the initial increase in share value?

That's it?

This, my friend, is Plan B; Plan A was to try to pin it on Bush; that didn't work.

I can hardly wait to see Plan C.

Well, you should be grateful that Russert did not show a picture of Waxman, the Mayor of Nostril City.

BTW, I used to watch Russert every week, but I have not watched his show since that "interview" he gave of Hitlery, and I vowed that day never to watch again. If he had stuck out his tongue that day we would have seen it was covered with her shoe polish. I would bet any amount of money that she was given -- most likely on demand -- advance copies of every question he asked. And, of course, there was no other guest on dispute any of her lies -- probably another of her preconditions.
