My pity is for her husband (if she's married) Her "husband" is probably her wife.

Where is the hell is the damn SEC during all of this???
After al it's the SEC's JOB and MISSION to ferret out problems like Enron...since when does it become the President's job to interfere in the daily operations of a corporation?
It's obvious the stupid lefties see that as how you run a company...they are living in a world of illusion and painting their moronic ideas on this situation.

Quite honestly,I don't think he knows what he is.He's a NEO-CON, which as I understand the term means,
NeoCon- (also known as "faux conservatives" or FauxCons) talking or writing head who appears on TV or in print to provide a balanced "conservative" viewpoint to the prevalent generic Leftist/Socialist viewpoint of the press without having to assist the conservatives in any way. Neo-con's are in favor of whatever "faux-Conservative" opinion will allow him to make the most money appearing on talk shows and selling opinion articles while masquerading as a Republican. Previously called RINO's, Traitors, or Benedict Arnolds.
See entries under Kristol, William or McCain, John for more details.

She's married to a Russian scholar named Stephen Cohen. I think I saw him on a cable show. He looks rather meek, IMO.

I sat in awe of Evans. What a great job he did of totally defusing Waxman. Hey Timmie, did you get it? ENRON shareholders had lost 90% of their money in August....Lay didn't call Evans till Sept 29, and everything he said to Evans was already common knowledge. Waxman's statement that the Bush administration stood idly by and did nothing for the poor ENRON people is so much hooey...Evans got that message out, loud and clear.
But truth to tell, I'm with you, 2 Kool, I would love more body slams from Bush people, especially applied to Waxman, but hey....President Bush meant what he said about no more business as usual in Washington. Us wise guys here on FreeRepublic can slash and burn the democrats all we like...it's cathartic....and it provides useful information to the lazyass media elite, let's em know we aren't at their mercy for background information....but President Bush and his people are not going to get down in the gutter with the likes of Henry Waxman.

I like the "Washington Aborigines" as a better name. Short for Washington "Aboriginal People".
Or how about the Washington Liquored-ups?

The only way to watch Kookie and sammy is to just tape the round table. That way you have 3 StalinRats and one Conservative. Obviously the Conservative wins every argument and is a bit unfair to those StalinRats. The enron fiasco is running out of steam before it leaves the station. Could you imagine the scandal if they would have bailed the company out (for the proletariat) and then it went banko. Watch the Rats hang themselves with their own rope!
Pray for GW and the Truth!

LOL bet all those who never served have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, you have to hand it to Biden: the gloves are off, there is no disguising the motives... this guy and his Demo colleagues are going to war with Bush on his foreign policy initiatives and nominations... They want to cripple the President in the midst of this war on terrorism. Happy to "postpone" the tax-cut (but don't call this a tax increase)... Enron is a major scandal for Republicans (let's ignore the real scandal). Amazing performance. And Timmy Russert just keeps that grim faced "neutrality" as the moderator. Glad to know that the American public just doesn't buy it anymore.

The press is political and not factual. That's why they run with stories such as these, Enron's failure, which should be a business and white collar crime story, as a political story. Now, they have complete egg on their faces. Not that they would ever see it or realize it, however!
The real story here is the failure on the part of the SEC and the collusion between Enron execs and Arthur Anderson. Hopefully the criminal investigation will sort this out. There shouldn't be any Congressional hearings because the politicians will only make matters worse. More knee jerk reacting, unfortunately.
Their is another thread about Kmart's impending bankruptcy. We are having lots of fun with sarcastic remarks about...but how come the President isn't doing anything about it? I have lost value in my stock and he's letting it happen....waaaaah.

Agreed. The RATS are smoking the Enron crack pipe, and they're thinking that they can smoke it all the way to November. I think they are in for a rude awakening.

I sat in awe of Evans. What a great job he did of totally defusing Waxman.Evans did a decent job on MTP- he made it clear there was no subterfuge on his or the Administration's part. Don't think the left will shut up about Enron but some of the wind will be taken out of their sales if folks like Evans get out there more often.

Latest news from the Washington Post...
The Kyoto agreement would do more to promote Enron than... LOL! We all know how W supports the Kyoto agreement. This is so pathetic. Ken Lay got a whole lot more from the Dems for a whole lot less dough than he certainly got from W.

Please tell me I'm crazy, but I keep wondering if we are not going to see a possible Lieberman/McCain ticket for 2004...Maybe. One thing that makes it a little more possible IMO is LIEberman saying on "Fake the Nation" that some of the Enron troubles happened during the reign/rain of the Klintons. Methinks LIEberman is trying to play to the middle and distance himself from the Arkansas Hilbillies (Heck, what sane person wouldn't do that?).
