Monday night, January 7, 2002, on the Hannity and Colmes show on Fox News, Pat Buchanan was a featured guest. Sitting in for Alan Colmes, resident leftist, was guest leftist and insignificant member of the U.S. House of Commons from New Yorks Sixth Congressional District, Gregory Meeks.
Mr. Buchanan was there to publicize his new book, Death of the West; a more honest book has never been written in this writers opinion. Due to the onslaught over the years on Mr. Buchanans positions on things American, Congressman Meeks had already drawn his opinion of the new works, and proceeded to criticize the book, implying that Mr. Buchanan was a racist, xenophobe, and opposed to allowing anyone to enter this country from any foreign country. Buchanan insisted on knowing whether Meeks had read his book, and Meeks openly declared that he had not. That did not stop Meeks from openly denouncing what he thought was in the book.
I have never read anything by Pat Buchanan that was not backed up by facts, and this new book is no exception. Pat Buchanan is one of the finest students of history that I have ever had the pleasure of reading, and he has learned that history has a tendency to repeat itself, and that if the lessons of history are not learned, we will have to re-live that history.
Those who, for whatever reason, do not like Pat Buchanan, have probably never read or heard what he has to say. Unfortunately for America, he has been discouraged from seeking public office in the future. I only hope he can find a way to make what he has to say available to more Americans.
By now, many have read reviews of Death of the West, and we even had one in the pages of Sierra Times by Chuck Morse . However, no review of this book can do it justice, and I will not try to do so here. I can only recommend its reading by as many people as possible.
I have heard the word controversial bandied about when referencing this book, but the only controversy seems to be in the minds of those who have not yet read it. As I mentioned above, Buchanans works are always backed up by facts and he lists all of his sources in the notes in the back of the book. Some may not like what he says, but none can call it false. Facts are facts, and cannot be disputed, and unlike those that would re-write our history, saying it aint so doesnt mean it aint so.
I agree with Pat Buchanan, that we are becoming a balkanized country, and are in danger of losing our national identity, and consequently our nation; that our borders are no longer borders and without borders we have no nation; and that the declining birthrate in the western world is not replacing those that are dying off in our culture, and that mass immigration is changing the face of America as immigrants, many illegal, move in to take the place of the vacancies left by that declining birthrate.
I worry that the America I grew up in is fast disappearing, and that my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will become a minority, Americans, in the country I grew up in.
Whether this is inevitable or not remains to be seen. I get the distinct impression that our leaders in Washington are not in favor of changing the direction that things are taking, and in fact seem to be encouraging it. Mexican Presidente Vicente Fox wants to take back Americas Southwest, including Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, and it looks like he is making great strides to that end. Unfortunately, President Bush is not opposed to Foxs intentions, or at least he seems willing to go along to get along at this time.
Americans had better prepare for what is about to happen, and reading Pat Buchanans new book might just help to prepare. You may like Pat or you may hate him, but you cannot argue with the facts he presents in his books.
This is especially true of many Freepers. They rely upon what other people say Pat says, and don't bother to consider his arguments onthe merits.
Unfortunately for America, he has been discouraged from seeking public office in the future.
I disagree with this point. Pat's a great opinion maker; such people rarely make good leaders. I'm glad he's finally focusing on what he does best. If only he had done that before rather than run for president.
What the source for that "fact"?
But the type of thinking that undermines our sense of social cohesion also affects most other aspects of American life. (See Destroying Cultural Continuity, and The Battle Over Patterns Of Personal Identification.)
The hour is very late, but the damage may not be irreversible. There has been a certain stirring of the American mainstream since September 11th. Let us do everything that we possibly can, to make sure that it continues.

trad, Pat did his job, and he did it well! He Hi-Jacked the 'Reform' Party, and stopped the weasel-Perot from giving us albore.
I think he was brilliant, and we won't find out for sure until he writes his memoirs.
Stay well and vigilant....FRegards
"If present trends continue, by the end of the century Germany will be a nation with only 40-50 million inhabitants, and we know that on our borders other peoples are growing quickly and strongly. Sooner or later, these other peoples will come in conflict with a shrinking and dying German people, and the result of the supposed doctrine of happiness will be a hard and bitter national death for our children."

Mexican Reconquista: Leader Says California Will Be First 'Hispanic' State
Stephan Archer Wednesday, June 7, 2000
"I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders and that Mexican migrants are an important a very important part of this."
This statement wasnt made in secrecy behind closed doors. It wasnt said outside the jurisdiction of the United States of America. None other than Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo spoke it in Chicago on July 23, 1997.
Speaking before the National Council of La Raza, Zedillo went on to say, "For this reason, my government proposed a constitutional amendment to allow any Mexican with the right and the desire to acquire another nationality to do so without being forced to first give up his or her Mexican nationality."
This amendment is significant for more than just the obvious reason. It is nearly impossible to obtain Mexican citizenship unless you can prove you are Mexican or are of Mexican descent. If you are neither, you must prove that you have completely adopted Mexican culture and lifestyle. Yet a Mexican citizen can, in essence, acquire another nationality and remain a Mexican. Is this a double standard?
Glenn Spencer, president of Voice of Citizens Together and radio talk show host of American Patrol Report, thinks so. But he thinks theres something more sinister to the Mexican presidents decree than one might think.
"This is an invasion of the United States in a very classic way with all of the classic objectives of an invasion without using bullets," Spencer said.
Spencer added he believed Mexico is allowing this so that those people with dual citizenship may vote in the interest of Mexico in the United States. The ultimate goal of this invasion, Spencer contends, is to reclaim the American Southwest an area including California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and parts of Colorado and Texas. Known as Aztlan by Hispanic activists, these states make up what used to be Mexican territory before treaties and wars gave the land to the United States.
Some Hispanic activists deny that there is any sort of organized effort to take over these states and reclaim it for Mexico. However, Jose Pescador Osuna, who was once the Mexican consul general in Los Angeles, has been quoted on the record as saying, "Even though Im saying this part serious and part joking, I believe we are practicing 'La Reconquista' in California."
"La Reconquista" means "the reconquest" and refers to the taking over of the U.S. Southwest. Osuna now is an agent of the Mexican government and works for migration in Mexico City.
Even though these statements have been made on American soil, Mario Obledo of the California Coalition of Hispanic Organizations said the "radical" Aztlan movement died in the 1960s. Obledo, a resident of Sacramento, Calif., explained that his organization tries to secure the civil rights of Mexican-Americans "and others similarly situated."
Although claiming a profound faith in America, hes also proud of the fact that the majority of Californians in the next few years will be Hispanic.
"California is going to be a Hispanic state," Obledo said. "Anyone who doesnt like it should leave."
Obledo further added: "Every constitutional office in California is going to be held by Hispanics in the next 20 years. Its a fact of life. Thats all. All of those propositions 187, 209, and whatever is a backlash due to the insecurities of the majority population. Thats all. But all those measures are going to be reversed one of these days."
Proposition 187 was the California initiative supported by a majority of Californians that denied taxpayer funds for services to non-citizens. Proposition 209 was another initiative supported by a majority of Californians that banned affirmative action, that is, prohibited preferential treatment in the work place and public schools and universities.
Speaking at a Latino gathering in response to Proposition 187s passage in 1995, Art Torres, the chairman of the California Democratic Party, said: "Power is not given to you. You have to take it. Remember, 187 is the last gasp of white America in California."
But if Mexico is to reclaim the U.S. Southwest, how will it be done?
Spencer believes that with the increasing unrest along the U.S.-Mexican border, the U.S. Border Patrol will eventually become overwhelmed, requiring the U.S. Army to take action. With increasing unrest and military presence all along the border, the current border will be erased and a new border zone stretching 150 miles from the current border into the United States will be put in place.
Although this may sound impossible, President Clinton has already issued an executive order that could put such a border zone in place.
Executive Order 13122, signed by the president May 25, 1999, established an Interagency Task Force on the Economic Development of the Southwest Border. The purpose of the task force is to "coordinate and better leverage existing Administration efforts for the Southwest Border, in concert with locally led efforts to increase the living standards and the overall economic profile of the Southwest Border so that it may achieve the average of the Nation."
Down toward the bottom of the executive order, it adds, "The Southwest Border or Southwest Border region is defined as including the areas up to 150 miles north of the United States-Mexican border in the States of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and California."
Spencer believes this inclusion in the executive order is little more than a mechanism of NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) to erase the border by creating a border "zone" instead of a border line.
"Its an attempt to gradually erase the border," Spencer said.
Spencer has been speaking about his scenario of an "Aztlan invasion" on the radio for some time now, and it has drawn considerable attention, including death threats.
Referring to a banner he saw at California State University, Northridge that read "Aztlan Graduation," Spencer concluded: "This is an invasion of the United States. I believe its going to end up in a war, and I believe its going to be so much worse because Clinton has sold us down the river."
Most of the demographic statistics Pat uses in his book come from studies conducted by.....get ready....you're not gonna believe this.....
......THE UNITED NATIONS!
How priceless is that?
How do you know that? Do you have a source other than Pat's book, which uses demographics from THE UNITED NATIONS?
