Buchanan Speaks the Truth
TYSK ^ | Darrel Mulloy

Posted on 01/11/2002 3:04:29 PM PST by Reaganwuzthebest

Monday night, January 7, 2002, on the Hannity and Colmes show on Fox News, Pat Buchanan was a featured guest. Sitting in for Alan Colmes, resident leftist, was guest leftist and insignificant member of the U.S. House of Commons from New York’s Sixth Congressional District, Gregory Meeks.

Mr. Buchanan was there to publicize his new book, Death of the West; a more honest book has never been written in this writer’s opinion. Due to the onslaught over the years on Mr. Buchanan’s positions on things American, Congressman Meeks had already drawn his opinion of the new works, and proceeded to criticize the book, implying that Mr. Buchanan was a racist, xenophobe, and opposed to allowing anyone to enter this country from any foreign country. Buchanan insisted on knowing whether Meeks had read his book, and Meeks openly declared that he had not. That did not stop Meeks from openly denouncing what he thought was in the book.

I have never read anything by Pat Buchanan that was not backed up by facts, and this new book is no exception. Pat Buchanan is one of the finest students of history that I have ever had the pleasure of reading, and he has learned that history has a tendency to repeat itself, and that if the lessons of history are not learned, we will have to re-live that history.

Those who, for whatever reason, do not like Pat Buchanan, have probably never read or heard what he has to say. Unfortunately for America, he has been discouraged from seeking public office in the future. I only hope he can find a way to make what he has to say available to more Americans.

By now, many have read reviews of Death of the West, and we even had one in the pages of Sierra Times by Chuck Morse . However, no review of this book can do it justice, and I will not try to do so here. I can only recommend its reading by as many people as possible.

I have heard the word “controversial” bandied about when referencing this book, but the only controversy seems to be in the minds of those who have not yet read it. As I mentioned above, Buchanan’s works are always backed up by facts and he lists all of his sources in the notes in the back of the book. Some may not like what he says, but none can call it false. Facts are facts, and cannot be disputed, and unlike those that would re-write our history, saying it ain’t so doesn’t mean it ain’t so.

I agree with Pat Buchanan, that we are becoming a balkanized country, and are in danger of losing our national identity, and consequently our nation; that our borders are no longer borders and without borders we have no nation; and that the declining birthrate in the western world is not replacing those that are dying off in our culture, and that mass immigration is changing the face of America as immigrants, many illegal, move in to take the place of the vacancies left by that declining birthrate.

I worry that the America I grew up in is fast disappearing, and that my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will become a minority, Americans, in the country I grew up in.

Whether this is inevitable or not remains to be seen. I get the distinct impression that our leaders in Washington are not in favor of changing the direction that things are taking, and in fact seem to be encouraging it. Mexican Presidente Vicente Fox wants to take back America’s Southwest, including Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California, and it looks like he is making great strides to that end. Unfortunately, President Bush is not opposed to Fox’s intentions, or at least he seems willing to go along to get along at this time.

Americans had better prepare for what is about to happen, and reading Pat Buchanan’s new book might just help to prepare. You may like Pat or you may hate him, but you cannot argue with the facts he presents in his books.

Ignore sinkspur as that person is a kook

Some of us enjoy Sink (I do), and some don't, but the "kook" comment is really about the last word that comes to mind when I think of Sink. He is disgustingly sane, and connected with reality. He is precisely the kind of guy that increases the GNP. Cheers.

Since you brought up delusions of grandeur, what makes you think anybody cares about Pat anymore? He was quite pathetic these last few weeks on TV and showed himself for the very thing you always have denied: he's a bigot. You must be SO proud to be aligned with him so publicly.

BTW, no matter how dumb you think Bush is, he managed to whip Pat Buchanan's butt; that say a lot about Pat, doesn't it?

Well Well Well, just what are you? A bimbo from Pennslyvania!

Pat's right on a few things. But the bottom line is, since the mid 90s Pat has drifted to the looney left on economic matters. He sounds like John(Don't call me a Socialist)Sweeney! But then again, I suspect many of his supporters are drawn to Pat for that very reason. After Sept 11, I believe the only person that has called for raising taxes is Patrick J. Buchanan when on national TV he suggested a 2 percent wealth tax to pay for the war. There's one big reason Pat never got close to ever winning the GOP nomination! He sounds like a liberal Democrap on economics.

Here is an example, Ubermensch, from a recent article by Debbie Schlussel:

"Hit Em Up Style" is Cantrell's term for bankrupting your man when you catch him cheating – an inevitability in feminist pop. There's no physical violence advocated here. Just vengeful damage to his credit.

"Hey ladies, when your man wanna get buck wild, just go back and hit em up style. Get your hands on his cash and spend it to the last dime. Oh when you go, then everything goes, from the crib to the rod to the clothes," sings Cantrell. "So you better let him know, that if he mess up, ya gotta hit em up."

Nice grammar.

"That was the terrible teaching of birth control, which Marxism preached and the bourgeois followed. No one dared stand against it. That was the doctrine that made us what we are today: a dying people, in which fewer children are born each year, in which today more people die each year than are born. This all was supposed to lead to a happy future. It understood happiness only in terms of possessions. It was therefore inherently false. But even in its own terms it was false, for it forgot something: When a people begins to die, when a people no longer obeys the laws of life, which a people values money more than its existence and posterity, this people is on the path to disaster, both historically and politically."

-- is it Pat, or is it (no)MEMOR(y)EX???

Otherwise, the garbage you constantly post to FR...

For newbie, you sure developed an opinion about the quality of posts here at FR, real quick.

So what was your previous screen name, and why did you get banned?

A typical dimwitted statement by you. So you actually believe that there is some logical connection between being a relatively "new" poster to FR and being able to identify your garbage posts? Can you say "non sequitur" -- duh.

Let's just say that your inane posts singularly stand out.

So what was your previous screen name, and why did you get banned?

Yawn.

Makes no difference the source of your quote in # 113. If it is true, it is true. AND THE QUOTE IS TRUE, although Marx was merely ONE of the anti-natalists; the other, in his own perverse way, liked Margaret Sanger for her wacky-assed 'eugenics;' hint: he led the Third Reich. Hitler, Marx--all killers at heart.

Not the case with PJB, who is as pro-life as God.

Now I suppose that you know exactly where PJB's charity dollars go, too; or could they support children's education, health care, orphanages? Hmmmmm?? Oh, you don't KNOW?
