Pat's right on a few things. But the bottom line is, since the mid 90s Pat has drifted to the looney left on economic matters. He sounds like John(Don't call me a Socialist)Sweeney! But then again, I suspect many of his supporters are drawn to Pat for that very reason. After Sept 11, I believe the only person that has called for raising taxes is Patrick J. Buchanan when on national TV he suggested a 2 percent wealth tax to pay for the war. There's one big reason Pat never got close to ever winning the GOP nomination!
