97% of the precincts in and Sullivan is up by over 10,000 votes -- SULLIVAN WINS! Two good days in a row for the Sooner State!

GOOD!

This was a close call, and indeed I expected the Socialist to win. He had done a good, Klintonesque job of selling himself as a "New Democrat". We probably haven't seen the last of him.

Terry's station (Channel 6 KOTV / CBS) says 99% reporting, 54/45. Will it be a gracious concession speech?
Sometimes it's good to be mistaken, but it's never bad to notice oddballs running for office, especially when they're socialists.

When did I do that? I think he's a phony oddball and I was wondering how many ex-wives he has for all you know! BTW, latest from Terry's station: 97 percent reporting, Sullivan 54, Dodd 44, others 2 percent. So there. I am glad Sullivan has won this race. I've said from the beginning that he would win, barring some serious faux pas on his part based on the political makeup of the district.
As far as Dodd, I don't like him either. But from the way that you were describing him the most obvious inferrence was that you were questioning his sexual orientation. Especially the comment about seeing him with a "chick". That another poster was reaching the same conclusion is evidence of a poor choice of words at least.

More prayers answered in the Sooner state! You just had to believe! LOL!

May this be an omen for November!

Better to be on the safe side and know the enemy. Considering Sullivan was in the primary with Ms. Keating I think that he did really well not to mention Keating's remarks about the "dumb" voters of the 1st for not voting for his wife!

Sounds like all the RATS came out to vote, but lots of GOP voters sat on their butts, making this race closer than it should have been.
I thought it would have been 60-40 , but it ended up 54-44

Fiftysomething with JET BLACK HAIR!! Well, at least he hasn't learned the Bill Clinton trick of "targeted" hair color based on the audience he would have on any particular day.
To: KQQL
Well doesn't this just figure.
Someone needs to tell Rove and Co. back at the White House that Special Elections are bread and butter in a closely divided legislature. We should have had shock troops pouring in there to get our people out.
I mean, I'm damn glad that he won and all, but 54-46 be too close in a solid Pubbie district.
