I just saw Fidel Castro wearing a FDNY on TV, courtesy of our own Congress!!!

Forty-three years ago today, Fidel Castro rode into Havana, triumphantly, atop a Sherman tank after having defeated the Batista regime, ready to establish his own dictatorship.

Moments ago, on TV, I saw the old bastard sporting a brand-new New York Fire Department baseball cap, a gift from a visiting US Congressman.

Does anyone know who this rat bastard was that gave Fidel the opportunity to desecrate the memories of American Heroes?

I want this bastards name.

You asked a good question about, "What is wrong?"

Our federal government, as Cuba, believes in a UN with a thousand points of light to create the new world.... the world that strips you of individual determination while ensuring your dependence upon more government.

Big government always works that way.

While I understand the point that you are trying to make, comparing our system of government to Cuba's is ludicrous.

There are very few governments in the world smaller than Cuba's government.

One man.

SICKENING! ABSOLUTLY SICKENING!!!

Why are so many Chamber of Commerce types pushing for trade with Cuba? Cubans have zero purchasing power and all of the intelligent entrepreneurial Cubans crossed the Florida straights a long time ago.

Besides, the last two Cohibas I smoked tasted like ammonia!!!

I'm betting it was a gift from Ira Einhorn, funneled thru Arlen(Magic Bull$#%^)Specter(RINO, Scotland).

Under Scottish Law, Fidel Castro is a resident of NYC...

That's an easy question.

US farming conglomerates, and individuals, live off subsidies.

They can grow corn and sell it to Cuba as a loss, a loss that will be made up by the US taxpayer.

There is an attempt to remove the financial restrictions making it difficult for Cuba to make purchases in the US market by giving Fidel a line of credit. We all know what Fidel's credit terms are, net never. But payments for sales to Cuba are guaranteed by, you guessed it, the US taxpayer!

Now, the subsidized corn is sold to Cuba, processed and canned there by ADM, then shipped to Mexico where it will change containers and head back into the US at such a ridiculously low price that it will bring down the market for US corn making it necessary to subsidize US farmers.

You can be serious, can't you? Cuba is a Communist government wherein all economy is controlled by government. Here in the US, just a Socialist country, some economic activites are not directly controlled government (yet) .... but suffice to say, that 1/3 of the GNP is directly controlled by the government.

Oh yeah, the "huge divide" that you are talking about continues to shrink.

In Cuba, government is one man.

BTW, in Cuba, you would have been a dead man long ago.

Don't worry Luis, America is working on containing anyone that believes in God or the Constitution ..... we are just a stone's throw away. We are doing everything possible to accelerate the UN plank to destroy America.

I am not worried Buck, you are.

I have lived both places, and I can tell you that it isn't the same.

You haven't a clue.

Why are so many Chamber of Commerce types pushing for trade with Cuba?

That's what makes me wonder ---there isn't any real market over there now.

Your assessment does not take in account increasing taxation without recourse while also not taking into account the continuing loss of personal property rights and the new interpretation of the Constitution, here in America. Once you decide to take off your blinders about these pervasive events here, it just might be too late.

You say you enjoy America (the government) while loathing Cuba (the government.) I say I enjoy both nations while wanting to eliminate all the government exclusioary statements that you use to modify individual freedoms.

And, of course, the article reflects the brotherhood of ALL big government.
