Take out all of Canada? 11 warheads! ROFL!!! Check the TD range of even a 1-megaton warhead, multiply it by 11, calculate the total area of Canada and compare the two. Even if they were the "dirty" bombs of the 50's, the fallout would only be severe for the first two weeks and hardly noticeable at the end of 14 weeks. Take it out politically? Maybe, but destroy the landmass, hardly!

The point is that everything of significant economic value in Canada is concentrated in 11 warhead's worth of coverage.

Are you saying there would be fallout for 14 weeks or the radiation left on the ground after the fallout wouldn't be enough to cause cancer, birth defects and other such maladies?

There is no way 11 warheads could take out 25% of the Canadian population. Yet another study by the fear mongering MAD adherants. Their goal is not to prevent the Western civilized nations from getting nuked. Their goal is to prevent Western nations from ever using nukes on anyone else. So long as we are "afraid" of "the end of the world" in the event that we ever use any nukes again, then we never will think about it. MAD is being used against us, to tie our hands and to keep the US from engaging in any great powers conflicts. The only question, was Carl Sagan only a useful idiot, or did he have "friends" who want to destroy the USA when the time is ripe?
