and now we have Charles Bishop from Conservative Republican Tampa, Florida. Where is the outrage? He was from Boston:
Neighbors said Bishop, who had moved from the Boston area a year earlier, kept to himself.

"A deluded attention seeker with (obviously) a little too much money thrown at him instead of good ol fashioned parenting."
That's a given! But we've a nation full of these kids since adults seem to think they can have their cake and eat it too! That said, I wonder if this will become the new cool way to commit suicide? No more Columbines?

"Would it be better if every time anything happens, the government and the media all start screaming "terrorism"
No, it would be better if they simply kept their mouths shut until the evidence is in! I don't appreciate being lied to...we had enough of that with the Clinton Administration!

Correct, however, it has been my experience that the teachers conciously subvert the parents values. Being from CA, you ought to see that clearly. But only stupid parents allow that to happen. Also correct, but we (the stupid parents) almost invariably find out about it after the fact. I have had a pitched battle or two on this subject with the school that our children attend. Only once were we able to head off at the pass a program on "multiculturalism" that they were preparing to implement.

<< So it was an TERRORIST attack, I bet he was converting to ISLAM too..... How many more Jihadi Johnny' do we got ? >
I wouldn't call that terrorism. Unfortunately, the 9/11 attack was such a huge spectacle that it may motivate some misfits, who probably have no formal connection to any organized terrorist movement, to copycat acts. That's the downside of the media showing the planes hitting the WTC over and over --for some imbalanced souls, this is an "inspiration" to die in some notorious way.

...this is the significance of this solo kamikaze action: it may mark the start of unilateral acts of terrorism by OBL supporters and other assorted Islemmings.Very key point here and reveals the immense problems such an eventuality creates for the military.
Lady J asks,"The intercept came from Homestead AFB and got there after the plane hit the building. Wonder why MacDill has no intercept cover. It is the main Command Post."
Either Fox or CNN TV reported that it was exactly because MacDill is the main Command post that it couldn't respond to the Cessna. All its planes were on station in the Afghanistan theatre. So the call went to Homestead--but that base was too far to do any intercept.
Seemingly, the logistics of the Tampa situation were created by pure chance, but how does the military plan to protect the vulnerability of countless other American cities?
And once an intercept of a small plane is made over a large population center, who decides that it should be blown out of the sky when the resulting impact on the ground is totally unknown?
Serious problems that must be on the tables in the Pentagon as we post.

Ummm, check the Rand McNally. Tampa is in Hillsboro Co., Pasco is to the north.
To: henbane
Wow, that's rather shocking about McDill being so unprotected, if true. But I thought one of the reports stated that he was forced away from McDill, and then went towards downtown.
Methinks Boortz may not like some of the proposed solutions.

If this 15 year old nutburger was moved to act on behalf of OBL, imagine how many isolated Islemmings out there are pondering those 72 virgins.
To: veronica
Sheesh I am just hearing this on Fox. What a nut! Won the Darwin award at age 15. Now there's a precocious kid for you.

After this Cessna incident I'm hearing a lot today "what can just a small plane do anyway".
Picture what a target a major airport is, with 747s loaded with fuel and people wing tip to wing tip at the gates.
Even worse would be a private Learjet or Gulfstream taking off from that airport and making a quick swing around to crash into that row of loaded jets.
To: henbane
See #219 for a nasty target for a small plane, with only a minute or two reaction time from perceived threat to mega fireballs.
