PAGE SIX/Lock & loaded (Keyes MSNBC Show?)

THE folks at Msnbc are talking to former Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Alan Keyes about hosting a 10 p.m. show up against Fox News' new hire, Greta Van Susteren. Meanwhile, Van Susteren, a lawyer before her O.J. Simpson commentary turned her into a CNN star, reportedly has penned an eight-page memo detailing CNN's demerits. She plans to keep the document secret as long as CNN doesn't try to paint her as an ungrateful traitor.

So, why do you think that Keyes and his supporters are better than everyone else?

I don't, and I don't think I asserted what you stated. In fact, I agreed with you some posts ago with Mr. Bush's remarks. Keyes is more forceful and eloquent in articulating positions I agree with than Mr. Bush. Is that too much trouble for you?

Just to let you know,
I hit the abuse botton on this.
This is just too much.
You may need professional help.
I mean that.
I'm not trying to be mean to you,
I think you may have a serious problem.

Good grief, Sunsong.
I didn't think you were doing that badly.

Is it really that hard for you to justify your position?
Rather than ruin everyone's fun,
why don't you increase the amount of time
you spend on each reply.
That would remove some of the pressure.

If you need help, Freepmail me
and I'll give you some good arguments to use.

Well, there you go again.....with the same article....let's read it, shall we?

"BOSTON -- Alan Keyes expressed his support for George W. Bush's choice of a running mate Tuesday - and said he had dropped his own campaign against Bush for the Republican nomination."

Hmmmm, there seems to be something, shall we say, missing in that support?

"He said he would join other Republicans to unite behind Bush at the party's convention in Philadelphia next week."

Now, I'm quite sure if he did, in fact, do that.....with all the documentation, and the emails sent to his followers etc, someone could prove it?

Just spit it out ; say that those who agree with President Bush are enemies and traitors to this nation. You'd be wrong, but that IS exactly where your tautology is leading.

I see where your analogy is leading, and THAT is just to even MORE slander , libel, and heaps of calumny. My example worked. Your's is a cesspool of quicksand. Don't infer, imply, nor try to lead me down the " primrose path " ; it won't work. : - )

Oh, and now, do NOT feign innocence. Anyone with 1/2 a brain and two eyes can see right through that post.

However, I doubt that even Bush Bashing will get MSNBC more listeners.

I think the reason Fox has grown so high in the ratings is simply because they offer a conservative viewpoint along with the commie/lib crap. It's the only national major media outlet that does so. The others all offer the same stuff which I and many others apparently have shown that they will not watch. Now I have a choice otherwise I would stick to FR and other web sites for conservative news along with the conservative talk radio shows.

ok, let me ask it this way -- can you see how Keyes and his supporters come across as though they think they are superior to everyone else? Are you aware that Bush supporters were told that because they did not agree with a Keyes position -- they were immoral??

What I really think is that if YOU think you're in real danger, you should sign off immediately and seek assistance from the authorities. Otherwise, ignore the ignorant stuff that is meant to provoke you.

You were doing fine in making good arguments until you were distracted. Don't get even---get mad! And if that doesn't work, take off one of your high-heels and use it to whack the bartender with. (A well-heeled woman is a well-armed woman.)

I would suggest that you take some time yourself and really think about what *fun* is to you. Is it fun to suggest to someone that they should expect an attack to their throat with a broken beer bottle???

I would suggest that that kind of talk crosses the line.

Why don't you get off it.

Y'all make up slanderous lies...they are debunked...then you set off on a new tangent.

You and your compadres are doing more damage to the conservative movement, the Republican Party, and the Bush Administration than Alan Keyes could or would do in a lifetime.

There are people lurking here who now think that Bush supporters are a bunch of lying thugs...ready to crush anyone who dares utter the least little criticism of the administration.

The sad thing is its not true...the President would never in a million years support this kind of treatment of anyone, and neither would 99% of the supporters of the President.

This is a hysterical little mob that has festered here on FR for awhile now, who are bent on political madness.

Some who have fallen into this craziness are good people...they just need to step back, and pray about how they are conducting themselves.

..."That's a damn lie"....

Oh....pissed at the truth, we see!

So, tell us, Howlin, how Air Force One headed to New York, that the Vice President headed out on Air Force Two (or whatever his plane is called), or even those Congress Critters headed out for New York.....we only need the yes OR no, not the excuses.

Completely off topic, but WHY are you so invested in Keyes, that you are ready to cravenly debase those who find his anti-BUSH behavior offensive ? There is NO way that he will be the GOP's presidential candidate , in 2004.

While Keyes was my first choice last year, and my 2nd in 1996 (Gramm was my first choice) I do not believe that I am particularly invested in him. I do respect him as a political and philosophical leader. Those internet questionnaires of what candidates you were closer to actually showed me agreeing slightly more with Bush than Keyes.

But I oppose Evil, and the thug-summoning email of Howlin, to you and others, which I cited above is pure evil. It was the FR equivalent of a gang rape, and I like to think that I would fight against that sort of thing wherever I encounter it.

Yep, that is was. And seeing him deliver that presentation, was like watching HITLERY not listening to President Bush address both Houses, after 9 / 11 / 01. : - ) It was ALL in the viewing. A picture CAN be worth more than 1,000 words !

I still don't know what the point of you reposting that comment from August is. I don't know the context of my comment, but by the time frame I'm guessing it was a thread about Bush's decision to fund Embryonic Stem Cell Research which I strongly oppose. Sorry, but the Right to Life is one of my hot button issues. Maybe that's why I like Keyes?

As to your contention that "Fly the Flag" is Alan Keyes, I have no idea why you believe that nor do I see the relevance to the rest of this thread.

BTW, I was just getting ready to go to bed when I saw your post. It would have been nice if you would have had the courtesy to flag me when you reposted one of my posts from 5 months ago.

lol

however :), I stand by my decision. I think that that poster may have a real problem. And I also think that that kind of talk crosses the line. It's just not necessary. In fact, it is unacceptable.

Then, my opinion , of YOU , is sinking even LOWER.
I haven't engaged in personal attacks.
I asked you to refrain from doing so as well.
Now, you say that you intend to use " brass knuckles. "
Metaphorically or not, that is NOT to be tolerated here;
re the posted rules for replying .

"...Completely off topic, but WHY are you so invested in Keyes,

There is NO way that he will be the GOP's presidential candidate , in 2004.
I'd be rather surprised , IF he jumped ship completely and tried to run as a fringe candidate.
It does NOT harm me, if some people , here, rail against President Bush.
It does NOT harm you, when others rail against Keyes.
It harms ALL of us, when such devisiveness is allowed to grow and fester.
Use facts, and NOT " feelings ", to refute posts. PLEASE ?

This whole thread is off-topic, nopardons.
The thread is about a Keyes TV show.

By the way,
"Anti-Bush" is an insult.
Especially the way you use it.

Keyes is not against Bush.
I'm not against Bush.
We are both against the policies of Bush.

We are not "enemies" of the country.
We are citizen's watching with skepticism
the actions of our government.
That is our duty.

You considered it your duty too,
in the fight to stop Clinton's violations.

You weren't an "enemy of our nation's leader."
You were a citizen trying to stop observed violations
perpetrated by our nation's President.

If you or anyone else would like to determine honesty versus distortion just jump back to post #400. All the cussing and delusion in the world can't erase what is in black and white. There is no dishonesty in respecting certain lines that shouldn't be crossed. I realize that a person with the manners of a goat and the tongue of a dumpster may not comprehend common courtesy, but I'm sure you do.
