On todays program Benny Hinn announced that he had a vision and the Lord explained to him that the Lord was going to topple the current government of Iran.
He said that the Lord would show favor to the people of Iran because of the assistance Persian Kings gave in rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem [2 Chronicles 36:23,24].
The feed is a video of the "this is your day" program.
How could that be consistent with the word of God?
Benny Hinn claims to speak for GOD. Either God was wrong or Benny.
In regards to Evander Holyfield, please read Deut 13:1-3. Personally, I wish the best for Hinn(i.e. he would start teaching according to God's Word.) But I love God too much to ignore/overlook Hinn's wild teachings. Hinn himself has denounced his own teachings before. But he always goes back.
From waving the American flag in the Mexican Olympics---to a 95% KO lifetime record...
in Manila he had the death/resurrection experience and is one of the greatest living Christian---hero--role model of our time!
You can name anything you want, but you have no power to really claim anything. Even your salvation is a gift from God. He gave it to you. You did nothing to deserve it.
If 'name it claim it' would work, why didn't Paul the apostle do it? It is because he knew that apart from Christ he could do nothing.
God never promised us riches, health or the good life on earth, He only promises to be with us through it all. That's why Paul wrote, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Some of the heresy hunters are the most frightening prospects out there. Instead of following them and the vain philosophies of men, ask Jesus to baptise you in the Holy Spirit and read the Bible and let the Lord instruct you.
Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
1Jo 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
I specifically remember seeing two of these frauds, on television, while living in North Carolina...Jim Whittington and Ernest Angely, who make the same outrageous claims, but dont seem to have the huge following of Benny Hinn...and of course, Pat Robertson and his crew are always claiming to heal people through the television waves, and of course there is Oral Roberts and his son and daughter in law, who seem to think that they have the same powers.......
Now, I believe in God, and believe in the healing power of Christ...but I do not believe for one moment that these 'fakes' have the power to heal someone....if Christ wishes a healing for anyone, it seems to me, that prayer groups at various churches, prayers by oneself on behalf of others, and prayers by just ordinary believers are heard more sincerely than the 'fake' powers invoked by these charlatans...
You will always notice on TBN, where Benny likes to hang out, whenever one of their members has a serious, and real medical problem, that person always, and I mean always goes to a regular doctor, and has medical care done by a clinic or hospital...Now, if their dear Benny Hinn has real healing powers, no trips to the hospital or doctor or clinic would be necessary...just ask old Benny for the magic touch and you should be cured ...but you will notice that whenever any prominent member of TBN(Trinity Broadcasting Network), has a serious medical problem, they always go running to the real healers, who are the medical doctors...
Also you will notice, that Benny will never heal anyone onstage and on public view, who has an obvious medical problem, that can be seen...such as an missing limb, such as obvious tumors, or lumps, such as deformities...he will not try to heal these folks in plain sight, because then he would be shown up for the quack that he is...
But this is America, and if people want to throw money at him, then so be it... I fail to understand why people will believe someone like Benny Hinn, but each to his/her own...
I have worked in nursing homes for many years...we once had a young woman, who was severely brain damaged, as the result of an accident, and was in a constant vegetative state, and had been for a few years....her parents were great followers of these faith healers, and believed in their empty promises of a cure....sometimes they would pay the faith healer to come to the nursing home, and lay hands on their daughter...sometimes we had to get the girl ready to travel to a faith healers service, as the faith healer could not be bothered coming to the nursing home....they always had to pay big sums of money....and guess what? you have got it...that young woman is still in a vegetative state, and many faith healers later and many dollars poorer, one parent has died, and other no longer has the money to pay faith healers...
If Benny Hinn could cure this young woman and do it in front of me and other medical personnel, I might then give up my view of Benny Hinn as a fake...until then, I am not judging him, I am simply saying I do not believe on thing of what he is claiming...
This is off the top of my head. But I've heard tapes of Hinn saying that when Moses crossed the red sea, it was turned to ice, that Jesus had to be born again(Jesus went through everything we go through, including being born again.) And he redefined the Holy Trinity.
Plus there is his history of False Prophecies, and False Stories.
