"You will notice that Senator Spinless wasn't upset about what jeffords did to the party or the Conservative movement. (S)he was only upset because of herm own loss of power." Good catch! I noticed that right off. Trent led the Republican Senate to disaster (democratic control) but can only think about his own sorry a**! IBLOLIIWSP (I'd be laughing out loud if it wasn't so pathetic)

Oh thank you for posting this. This is the most fun I'll have reading something all week. POOR BABY! There there, Jimmy. It'll be okay. Oh good GRIEF. What a flippin' crybaby.
Now this, folks, is the true measure of a man. Stand for nothing, change alliances based on how the wind blows (or what power you think you'll get for backstabbing), and then whine and cry when it all falls apart because the world's reality sets in.
Good riddance to this petulant child. "Some bozo from Vermont," indeed.

Way to go, Jeffords. Make a sleazy deal with a rattlesnake and then complain after he bites you.
To: Tacis
What the hell is going on in Vermont to be represented in both houses but such Amecican hating, extreme ultra-liberal wing nuts? It's the influx of boomer lefties from the metro areas in Mass., RI, CT, and especially NYC that started some 25 years ago and has nearly ruined the politics of the once proud state.

Maybe Lott is better than we thought. In this article he appears to be different man in private, behind the scenes, than he appears to be in public???

That he switched over special ed is, I believe, just a transparent excuse. Maybe it was just bribery with a committee chairmanship, but I suspect the real reason was blackmail by the Clintons. I believe he got the infamous book deal promised to him by the dems' connections.

"There's nothing sadder than an aging prostitute"- Xaviera Hollander, AKA the "Happy Hooker". If Judas is so depressed, I recommend the most honorable cure for traitors and cowards: A locked room with a bottle of scotch and a pistol, with instructions to do the decent thing.

I wonder if we can test drop a Daisy Cutter on some cows in Vermont?

"Jim Jeffords, Not as Happy as He Thought" Hmmm reminds me of some advice me Dear Old Grandpappy drummed into me in my former years (May he rest in Peace!)
His advice was as follows: "Be careful what you strive for, because you may actually succeed!"
To: holman
Mr. Jeffords gets what is well earned. He stabs his constituents and party in the back, upsets the Demos by not switching until passing tax cut, and now wonders why there's nobody there to get his pet projects passed. Maybe he needs to make his own Osama video to let everyone know he's still around!!!!
To: holman
Wonder how much the publisher's flack paid that blonde to show up with the ten (free) copies of this execrable book? Pretty transparent stunt, even for Washington! LOL
To: holman
Like a few other Americans who defected to the Marxist- Leninists, Jeffords finds the same disappointment they did. He made himself a mere pawn in the war between America and the left; he is depressed; he has only himself to blame for being a traitor.

Just out of curiosty what is so bad about special ed in this country?
To: holman
a few senators actually wondered if he could possibly do the unthinkable--switch back. There's the real reason for his powerlessness. He has shot his bolt, used up all his ammo, lost his leverage. When he switched parties, that was it. There's no way in the world he can switch back, and everyone knows it. So if the Dems treat him like a dog, what can he possibly do to get even with them?

he pronounced himself "the most depressed I have felt" since switching parties.
Oh poor baby. Damn and me being fresh out of sympathy.
I'd like to say I feel sorry for him...I really would, but mama said It's not nice to lie.
