Welcome aboard. VH1, from what I understand, did not edit the booing of Richard Gere. No, it is all about protection of Hillary. The firemen and policemen have nothing to apologize for regarding the treatment of Hillary.

I called VH1 this morning about this, left a voice message since all I got was an answering machine. I asked when they would publicly acknowledge this action and when they would apologize. I don't expect that to ever happen. I sure hope Orielly picks up on this, as well as Rush and H&C.

quit bitching about how a corporation doesn't listen to five people and move on. If you have disliked (with valid reason) everything vh1 has ever done, then you can complain, but since they are providing a "free" service, you have no right to complain about they're service. If you hate them that much, don't get cable, in the meantime spare us all your complaints and move on to more important things

Looks like far more than 5 people are upset. There is also a discussion on rec.video.dvd about this and on FR, who knows elsewhere...

I think that any citizen is free to complain about this propaganda for a political idol; not just those citizens who are viewers who disagree with everything on VH-1. And that "service" that Viacom provides, the channel called VH-1, is not free; it is paid for in the monthly cable bill. If you happen to get "free cable" with your apartment, it is still a part of your rent.

A viewer shouldn't have to drop cable in protest just because he takes issue with one channel's alteration of a historical fact.

Viacom also owns CBS. If this tampering with footage is an accepted practice at Viacom, can you trust your own eyes and ears on the CBS Evening News?

This fool thinks that this is a non-issue and unimportant. Funny that this person is posting on a VH-1 discussion board, if he's looking for a discussion of "more important things", he'll need to head elsewhere. Unless, that is, by more important he means "who has longer armpit hair, Madonna or Cher", or "why was Van Halen with Sammy Hagar not listed as a separate but still 100 most important Hard Rock Band???"
