I was just informaed by American Perservitive that it was Monaco, NOT Morraco.
Needless that error because it was in the lead post resulted in the deletion of that discussion. For that I apologize.
The discussion has been about the bump and ping lists and why some people find these lists to be of value. It recived over 15 responses in it's original thread.
Unfortunately I did not print out the original article so I can't offhand remember what was said but Nonetheless we will go ahead and continue with this discussion with part 2.
Bump for more responses.

The moderator said that he could only elinate the whole post. I don't think there's a way you can edit a post.
Folks, I'm sorry. My brain froze on me when I posted the original article It's cold in this part of the country.
Regards.

It wasn't any particular word. This is a stupid waste of bandwidth.
It does not take over 97 replies to explain how a "ping" list works. For Pete's sake, can we be considerate of bandwidth? No flames, please. Try to think before you respond with a flame.

Cheney should not stay out of the lime light. It does not make any sense that he is in a safe place. Why they did not put in a safe place? It appears that there is somethink stinking in Denmark?

Thanks and you too.

I mean why they did not put Bush in a safe place?

A ping and a bump is actully the same thing. When you post an article like I just did. It moves it to the top of latest posts. That's so those who have that section bookmarked can go to that article.
A lot of us freepers, including myself, have that section bookmarked so when you reply to an article that you think might be of interest, it goes to the top.

The connection with server was rest when this happens, click OK on the error message, hit the back arrow so you
return to the previous window, and try to preview again. once your preview is
accepted, post it. you may have to go through this several times... i have the same problem.
but only click post once. then see if it posted... usually it will post
even when it didn't appear to.

This is a ping. I put your name in the reply to call you to this thread.*ping*

A ping and a bump is actully the same thing. Not quite correct. A ping can act as a bump, but is also used to call other freepers to a post by including their screen names in the To: box. A bump is made to no one in particular, and just gets the post back into the Latest Posts screen...

Nope- we don't have access to anything that would let us do that.
Sorry.
