..... Everyone keeps bringing these up as comparable "made up" holidays to Kwanzaa. Why don't you get it!? Am I not typing clearly!? Are you not reading what is presented here and in my links!?
Kwanzaa isn't like those other "made up" holidays because none of them were intended to spread the virulent marxist, racist ideaology of a violent gangleader. Mother's Day and Father's Day, while made up, have considerable merit and very little could be said against them. St. Valentine's day has a religious background to it. Kwanzaa isn't even comparable to those holidays mentioned and anyone who makes that argument obviously isn't paying any attention.
Americans have a right to be Marxists if they so desire, they have a right to seek political office as Marxists if they so desire. Americans have a right to celebrate, or create, a Holiday if they so desire, and worship the Eternal Marshmallow if they so desire.
The thing about Freedom, is that EVERYONE has the same Freedoms.
And the president of the United States is duty bound to safe guard the rights of these people to celebrate Kwanzaa, because he is the President of ALL THE PEOPLE, not just you, and those who agree with you.
