The politically pro-life movement never takes public stands against the death penalty, war, etc., yet makes very public attacks on women who make tough personal decisions.

Well, most political organizations focus on their political objectives so they don't waste resources. Of course, when you're Planned Parenthood and can get tax money it's not so hard. They can afford to waste resources on homosexuality and other issues that have nothing to do with helping people plan to not be parents. But the "pro-life" community has to focus because their resources are thin.

However, they don't attack women. OK, I'll admit it has happened. There have been a few, characterized by Terry Randall and Operation Rescue, who have taken a militant approach. But there are thousands and tens of thousands of pro-life people who never attack the woman in a crisis pregnancy, verbally or any other way. You can't judge the many by the few. Or should we judge all abortion providers by those who give unsafe abortions and leave their patients to bleed to death? Oh, yes. We may attack abortionists, who are serial killers, but our sympathies lie with the mothers. We know how tough their decision is. That's why we're always there to help them.

We also know how damaging abortion is to them. From the breast cancer link to the Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome most post-abortive women suffer. We know that many of them feel forced into their abortion because of the man who used them as a sexual toy but doesn't want a relationship with them. And we know the conflict it sets up in them when everything in their nature cries out for them to care for their child, and everything in their culture is asking them to have it brutally murdered.

It's compassion that drives us. For me, I care more about the mother than the baby. The baby (IMO) goes straight to Jesus' loving arms without having to suffer in this broken world. But the mother, if she isn't killed by one of those doctors I spoke of earlier, has to live with herself. She has to live with knowing that she decided her baby would be better off dead. We care for her deeply and want to do everything we can for her. If you knew any of us, you would know that.

Maybe you should go to a CareNet Crisis Pregnancy Center and offer to volunteer. You'll have to be trained before you can help, but you might learn a lot about who we are.

You might also learn a lot about the death culture you live in.

Shalom.

1.)Why does pro-life always end with birth?

It rarely does. ALL--not some, all--of my pro-life friends focus more on the child's welfare AFTER birth, primarily because (at least in this area) there is a great network of well established unplanned/crisis pregnancy facilities. Several of us mentor new mothers who live at these facilities before they are able to make it into their own places, and we continue to work with them after that happens. Donations of durable goods (cribs, car seats, infant baths, etc) as well as financial support are very often made directly to the mothers and their babies, as many of these women are ashamed to accept federal and state funded aid. We make sure that these women are aware that health care for children is FREE in Michigan for qualifying families. Do you want me to go on? Just because we don't crow and pat ourselves on the back does not mean that important work is not being done.

2.)Why are there no funerals or rites for miscarried babies? Is the unborn baby dead only if we abort it?

Since when are there no funeral rites offered to mothers who have miscvarried??? I had two miscarriages before I was able to carry a baby to term, and in BOTH instances a priest offered services for the preborn soul. I am quite certain that Catholics are not the only ones who offer these rites. When miscarriage occurs late in pregnancy or in the case of stillbirth, more often than not the baby is given a true burial. Don't believe me? Stop by ANY graveyard and ask to be directed to what is usually called "The Garden of Angels." You would be surprised at how many of the headstones contain a single date.

3.)Why is this is the thread I have ever seen here that is concerned about minorities?

I assume that you meant "Why is this the FIRST yadda yadda yadda...minorities?" To this I can only answer that you are a newbie and see only what you want to see.

Woman, you've posted enough to ruin my weekend. I am not giving the Planned Deadbabyhood WebTrends report one more hit to show on their statistics. Unless I can be part of a denial of service attack, I ain't pinging one of their Web pages.

BRAAD to the bone!

God loves you.

Which "god," pcl? Moloch, the one you worship? The god that demanded child sacrifice?

Or YVWH, the God of Israel, who spoke through his prophet Jeremiah, and said (Jer 2:34):

Also on your skirts is found
The blood of the lives of the poor innocents.
I have not found it by secret search,
But plainly on all these things.

Or again (32:35):

And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Moloch, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.'

I have no desire to be "loved" by your god, pcl. The god you worship is Moloch, a demon, and my God, the living God, calls him and everything he does an "abomination". Send your god back to hell where he belongs!

Why don't you include the rest of my quote, which said, "I don't want the love of your false god."

I don't want anything from a god who revels in the violent death of defensless human beings.

I believe in MERCY. I have mercy on the innocent who don't have a choice of whether they want to be slaughtered. What doesn't violent death disgust you? Please don't give me that lame excuse of "Its no different than slaughtering a chicken." If you can't see the difference between us and animals then I feel sorry for you. Do you treat your family members the same as a dog? Do they even like you?

And I don't want your offering of fake peace with the message of violent death behind it.

"I don't want the love of your false god."

Actually I was referring to your God as the one who loves you.

Pax vobiscum

Don't give me your snide sarcasm. I know you hate Catholics and our Latin. I know Christ loves me. And I know that I'll be rewarded for standing up to those who push death and have no mercy!
