Good point but as of September 11th, I became concerned that I could get killed for Israel or one of my loved ones might be killed for Israel. I mean, its not just about tax dollars any more. Both sides over there are very brutal with each other. And me and mine are vulnerable because of their ethnic, tribal, bloodthirsty hatreds.

Hey cool. You found an answer in just half an hour.
I guess the truth will take longer.

There are certain countries that the United States has a special relationship with (for various reasons) and Israel is one of them. They are after all the only democracy in the area, and if for that reason alone we should/do support them.
As for you or your loved ones(God forbid) getting killed over Israel, if Israel disappeared tommrow there are those who would still hate us and want to kill us. Why, envy. They think that the reason they are poor is because we are rich, they are powerless because we are powerful, they have no/very little freedom because we have so much.

If you watched Hannity and Colmes, they did a segment on what we didn't get from the government translation of the Bin Laden tape. On the tape Bin Laden says we must kill the Infidles until they submit to Allah. Looks like we in the US are in trouble no matter our policy on Israel (or Iraq or Saudi Arabi for that matter).
