That is why I wish to confirm agreement with the translation before any discussion takes place. What is your point? I missed it.
Cheers:^), hope you are having a merry Christmas.

I believe there are Christians in the Catholic Church ... if you can show me "pope", "holy father", 7 sacrements, praying to Mary (Luke 11:27-28) in the New Testament I would agree with these things ... but they are not there ... I know if forwards and backwards ... they are simply not to be found ... would you disagree with that?
and you haven't answered my question ... by what measurement would you consider yourself a Christian? (should be an easy one) ... FReegards

I will take your answer as an affirmative to my other questions.
1)Do you believe the soul dies?
2)Do you believe Jesus is co eternal and co equal to God.
If so, how do you explain the verses quoted in post#30.
Cheers to you and hope you are having a merry Christmas.

Micah 5:2 must be correct ... He was "of" Nazareth because that's where He grew up ... but He was born in Bethlehem Eprathah (forgive spelling) ... these "scholars" are educated beyond their belief ... much like the well-educated, but non-believing, Pharisees of Jesus' Earthly ministry ... FReegards ...

I don't see the conflict you do ... the soul is in perpetual existence ... what you may be confused with is the difference between physical death and spiritual or eternal death which is separation from God in Hell ... no, no soul ever dies *eternally* ... it's where the soul *spends* eternity ...
however, the physical body, often called a "tent" or "vessel" (jar of clay) does die, for most of mankind, and the soul is separated from the body ...
though Jesus and God are identical, they are separate Beings ... indeed Jesus is at the right hand of God the Father and God the Holy Spirit is performing His work on the Earth for the past 2,000 years (and before that actually) ... Genesis 1, John 4, 7, 14, 16, and Matthew 28:19 ... FReegards ...

Bobby,
38% agreeing with 2 Timothy 3:16 is absolutley amazing, I would have figured 5% tops.

yes but on the news last night they said about 78% of America claims Christianity ... 52% Protestant and 26% RCC ... I'm surprised the numbers aren't higher ... except that I'm not surprised given the seminary graduates I've met over the past 12 years or so ...

I believe No# 1 if it is refering to the KING JAMES 1611 AV. I don't believe all the other new age versions in English. They disagree with the King James and they disagree with each other.

This poll would be better if they gave an example of what they meant by "inaccurate or exaggerated". I certainly agree with you about this. Using their terminology I could not be in group one, because I do not believe that the human race appeared in the world less than six 24 hour days after the planet was created. Unfortunately that puts me in the same group as those who accept everything in the Gospels, except for any miraculous events, even though I do accept His miracles.

it's interesting how you dodge the question ... it's a simple statement of conversion and faith ... based on the Scriptures ... it's not terribly complicated ... ????
