[history]
WHEN Winona Ryder was picked up for allegedly shoplifting nearly five grand worth of merchandise in L.A. last week, some hotel workers got a jolt of deja vu. The star likes to check out with more than just her luggage. "It wasn't just towels and bathrobes and the usual stuff," a former security staffer at one swanky hotel tells msnbc.com's Jeannette Walls. "Things like silverware were missing. Decorative things, too, like vases, anything that wasn't nailed down." But, "there was nothing illegal. We just put it all on her bill."

Her nose job's pretty obvious, and her nose doesn't move....she looked very different without it. Like...icky.

Do you take everything from hotel rooms, including the vase, the pix, anything not nailed down?
She sounds pretty pathological to me.

forgot to ping you on this thread!!!!!

Gentlemen prefer blondes. Not your Pamela Anderson kind of sergically-inflatable bimbo, either. Winona is "low-class trailer trash" IMHO.

She's probably been pretty giddy about pulling the wool over the hotels' collective eyes all these many years.
If she read this article, I wonder if she was smacking her palm to her forehead saying:
"D'OH! The bills! I should have looked at the bills!

Winona's from Marin County. Nuff said.

All that the article states is that whatever charges were incurred were statisfied.
If I owned a hotel, I'd be thrilled at such a result.

I can't imagine taking things from a hotel. Towels? Nyah, I HAVE nice soft towels, the best, from Macy's. Bathrobe? Nyah, I can get a great one, actually I have a beautiful pink fleece one that is incredibly warm, and if you KNOW me, you know I love pink and fleece...and I mean, with her, vases, pictures? How gauche!!! She's totally weird....plus she was caught with a LIQUID of whatever pain killer it was, or maybe it wasn't liquid but it was something he had to inject.
And she's best best friends with Courtney Love, you do the math. She's injecting something ILLEGAL, media won't say, it must be heroin, and she's best buddies with Courtney?? No wonder she was sooo skinny.

I can't imagine taking things from a hotelAccording to the article you posted, Ryder "took" nothing.......everything was paid for, in full.

You have to figure that trailer trash will always be trailer trash. It doesn't matter how much money or makeup she has. It is just like these singers from the inner cities. They were hoodlems when they were discovered and now they are just well paid rich hoodlems. Did you think that rap or country music came out of middle class family housing developments?

Her lawyer is Mark Gerragos!! She's guilty as HELL!!

Obviously she is a kleptomaniac. It is unfortunate that her stardom will shield her from the consequences.

Witness for the defense, Dr. Allen Frances: "Kleptomania is a recurrent failure to resist the impulse to steal things. Kleptomaniacs steal things they do not need or cannot use. They do it without knowing why, and they do it habitually. Kleptomaniacs experience an increasing sense of tension before stealing things and feel relieved while or after committing the act.
Psychiatrists consider kleptomania a symptom of mental illness, and it may be associated with other psychiatric disorders. Kleptomania may result from a variety of unconscious wishes. Some kleptomaniacs unconsciously wish to be caught and punished.
The word kleptomania comes from two Greek words which mean to steal and madness. It was coined during the 1800's to describe what was then thought to be a form of insanity."
