Didn't we already know this, instinctively? The abortion worshippers have used every trick in their paly book, even lying blatantly to Congress, yet have never been found in contempt! Skewing polls by asking death-loaded questions shouldn't surprise anyone who is pro-life, especially after this clear study done of the polling questions!

BIG Texas BUMP!

You simply can't believe a poll that tells you that most Americans agree with "Roe vs. Wade."Never did.
Never will.
Why?
Because verbal engineering always preceeds social engineering, and 99% of "abortion polls" are textbook exercises in verbal engineering.
To: proud2bRC
My friend, you made that point quite well the other day with a thread here at FR. The discussion that followed your post was stimulating, wasn't it?

I have recently been wondering if semantics is taught anymore, or even mentioned to today's students. You see so much in the way of "loaded" words, in everything from polls to advertising. Politics, of course, is rife with it.

Yes, quite. It is known in Catholic circles as the Smith principle, after Msgr. William B. Smith of the Dunwoody Theeological Seminary in Yonkers. I appropriated it from him, not sure if he coined it or appropriated it from some other sharp wit. It is so very appropriate for this age in which we live, an age marked, more than anything else, by a complete eclipse of reason. And reason has been eclipsed at least in part due to verbal engineering.
Sorry to be redundant on this thread, but it is a phrase worth repeating at times.
To: proud2bRC
Worth repeating? Absolutely!... Kind of like calling abortionists serial killers. It is 100% truth and the message is stark. I want the stigma to grow by leaps and bounds. "A woman's right to choose" A SERIAL KILLER! It doesn't sound as nice as the death cultists wanted it too sound when the sentence is completed accurately, does it!

And pro-abort polls are like, "Do you want horrible back-alley abortions or do you want them happy and friendly????"
Thus, polls lie, as do their results.

Over on the "What the nurse..." thread, I went a bit into various controlling court decisions. I noted that Roe vs. Wade no longer exists, having been replaced by the Casey decision years ago.

I'm pround to be from Rochester, NY. Home of Frederick Douglas, abolitionist, and home of ONE OF THE LARGEST PRO-LIFE MOVEMENTS!!!
rot in hell, murdering bastards!
To: Benson_Carter
Funny---funny ironic---how this really is the 2001 abolitionist movement.
To: Dr. Octagon
as Alan Keyes says... "Abortion and Slavery are the same paradigm".
he may bash Bush a bit too much for my liking, but he's dead on 100% on this issue.
I live 2 blocks from the abortion mill featured on ABC's 20/20 program not more than 3 weeks ago.
To: Benson_Carter;proud2brc
The pro-abort position is a slavery view: dehumanize a particular group of humans based upon their biological characteristics---race, sex, stage of development---and then use that dehumanization to justify inhuman treatment of the group so dehumanized. Slaveowners, Nazis, pro-aborts...same d-mn philosophy.

rot in hell, murdering bastards!I often feel the same way, but actually these are the people who need the most intense prayers directed their way. It is our duty as Christians to snatch souls from Satan.

I vote pro-life. I recognize the sanctity of innocent human life from conception forward. Send the pollsters to my house!

"I have recently been wondering if semantics is taught anymore, or even mentioned to today's students. You see so much in the way of "loaded" words, in everything from polls to advertising. Politics, of course, is rife with it." And pro-lifer's have lost the propaganda war. You've heard the phrase "Every Child a Wanted Child?" Here's my bumper sticker: "Every Child a Child."
Introduction to Eugenics (www.eugenics-watch.com):
The dominant figure in the eugenics movement in the United States, considered by the English to be a model of crypto-eugenics, was Major General Frederick Osborn, a master propagandist. In 1956, he said people "won't accept the idea that they are in general, second rate. We must rely on other motivation." He called the new motivation "a system of voluntary unconscious selection." The way to persuade people to exercise this voluntary unconscious selection was to appeal to the idea of "wanted" children. Osborn said, "Let's base our proposals on the desirability of having children born in homes where they will get affectionate and responsible care." In this way, the eugenics movement "will move at last towards the high goal which Galton set for it."
