The El, the book party and the site of the Virgin.
My friends, this is the kind of column I used to do now and then before the world changed. I tell you what I've been doing and thinking and if you're interested you get a cup of coffee and sit down and read along, and if you're not you can go back to OpinionJournal's main page, or Drudge, or Salon, or Free Republic.

Another beautiful articulate conservative woman. I think more men will turn conservative in the future just so they won't have to look at liberal women.

Thanks for this post. Peggy is a wonderful gifted writer and she touched my heart many times over as I read it.
To: JohnHuang2
I kust LOVE the way Peggy writes; BUT, she needs an editor. She is two genrations YOUNGER than Francie ( the heroine of " A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN " ) , and Tony Curtis, then known as Bernie Schwartz, lived in the Bronx !
No, I'm not picking nits; facts are facts, and errors drive me nuts. LOL

Thanks so much for the Ping....I just
knew she was a Freeper!
SuziQ, I always imagine Peggy reading her articles to me, too. I once saw her on CSpan with Shelby Foote, the civil war historical writer, and they read aloud old letters from soldiers to their families. His musical Southern voice is as beautiful as hers. Needless to say, I was sitting in a puddle by the time they finished reading.

Have you all noticed how Peggy has something for everyone: secular and religious, liberal and conservative, rich and poor, male and female, young and old. That is an art that very people can manage.
One day she's mingling with high society, the next she's reading religious articles on the net. She isn't ashamed of her family, her faith or her friends (conservative).
There's a serenity about her that is so engaging. That, plus talent, is hard to beat.
