Geraldo Fashion Update
Fox News | 12-11-01 | Self

Posted on 12/11/2001 5:26:26 PM PST by blackdog

Here is today's fashion update that Geraldo has on display.

The blue bandana has been discarded in favor of the rust brown bandana. It is being worn in ascot fashion. A new twist on Geraldo's theme has been boldly launched on the viewing audience. The New England Fisherman look is portrayed in the backdrop of some Afghan river which makes the whole thing look like a seen from Jaws. His blue wool fishermans cap tightly hugged his head. Of course the cap was only an accessory which matched his blue merchant marine pea coat with nautical buttons. Matching gloves must be a rarity in Afghanistan since he was wearing black OJ type driving gloves which definately clashed.

Accompanying today's fashion clip for the "hip" war correspondent were some cave cut-aways showing his Aussie outfit worn yesterday. Geraldo must be lurking Free Republic with a lap-top. The criticism of the blue bandana worn for two weeks straight was taken to heart and the rust bandana is definately a hygenic improvement, but it also clashed with the blue nautical theme of today. It has been leaked by reliable sources that he has decided on a lion tamers outfit complete with whip when they catch OBL and put him in a cage.

Did you see Geraldo this morning put on a captured Russian pattern helmet and give a salute? I kid you not!!!!

That was a "USAF Bombs Al Capone's Vault" moment.

Misses the point. Geraldo is so bad he's good. Entertainment. Without him, Afghanistan would be just another war.

My take on the watch cap is that he's wearing it because there hasn't been enough water for him to wash his hair recently. His hair was looking mighty dirty before he donned the cap. Now that he's had it on for a few days, the cap itself is starting to look pretty bad. Poor Geraldo, huh.

I doubt if they have five-star hotels at the front, much less a Holiday Inn Express. But Geraldo's a sailor & knows the proper use of a watch cap, which is to cover up grubby hair.

Here is today's fashion update that Geraldo has on display.

This must be why he feels he needs 6 bodyguards and 20 porters ... to carry his wardrobe.

Judging from the cheap, verbal abuse heaped upon you by the replys on this thread, it seems that few FR's appreciate the sealevel change in Geraldo! Consider this: There is no blue on the Red Fox, or any other Fox as the "blue" of some furriers is in fact various shades of gray.

Now that Geraldo has his paycheck signed by the Foxx News Network, it is only fitting, proper and down-right respectful that Chicago "Capone Vault" tunnel expert Geraldo should choose colors that blend well with a Fox! The rust brown is a good choice, as the Afghan dust blended with the red fur of a Red Fox would be very similar to rust brown.

As the War progresses, I hope that you will take it upon yourself to keep us informed on Geraldo's cave-inspection wear, and of course, compare it to what he wore in Chicago when the "Capone Vault" was opened.

Thanks again for the thread, for as you know, it is more important for "the media" to look good than to be right!

As far as fashion accessories go Geraldo should consider a bullet-proof vest. It's only a matter of time, until he accidently shoots himself with his own pistol! Inexperienced wannabes have no business packin' heat.

LOL! That is exactly what I think about when I see Geraldo. It's that pesky Capone cave.

He actually could be in Arizona. The landscape is quite similar.

Say what you will, but Geraldo has demonstrated a lot more guts than 99.99 percent of the other journalists. You don't see the big name "newsreaders" or Amanpour/Simon/Arnett doing anything dangerous to bring us the news.

You are right about that, who else in the news media has the guts to broadcast from a war zone dressed like he going to an audition for gig with the Village People.

Rivera's decision to bring a gun into a war zone where eight journalists have been killed has raised questions about whether it's a proper - or wise - thing for a reporter to do.

A handgun? Children will surely die. Doesn't Geraldo know that kids always die as a result of handgun ownership? Now I am shocked.

As far as the fashion analysis, blackdog is doing well here to point this out. Many people are unaware that political and cultural icons of the Left have historically invented their own little uniforms and done considerable image crafting to create a certain public impression. So it seems to me that blackdog has a point here in describing the Geraldo's trek across the Central Asia in search of a self-flattering wardrobe and maybe Osama too.

Life would be much easier for Gerry Rivers if only it was fashionable for men to wear black pant suits.

Can't believe all the FReepers who think Whorealdo is doing a good job.

Hyperbole, bombast and grandstanding gloryhogging are his forte.

Most memorable Whorealdoism: "...they are going bayonet to bayonet, eyeball to eyeball at 100 to 200 meters."
(Must be one helluva bayonet!)

Wonder if they would think OJ is redeeming himself if he came out of retirement and started scoring touchdowns for their favorite team?

LOL don't ya know handguns are "safe" in the hands of the elite...it is just the masses that need to be controlled..(especially the Right Wing)

I enjoy watching Geraldo. I give the guy credit. He is there with his brother giving very good reports. They are both great Americans. Don't we live in a society that allows people to re-evaluate their positions and change?

He continues to defend his position on the liar and chief..he has never, ever changed his mind on that.

He simply trying to give himself a fresh start. He is still a liberal Clinton loving slime ball...

and i absolutely despise his editorials and i question his belief in god (just don't know). but i admit i enjoy watching him on fox news. in this assignment it is clear that he is an american first and a reporter second -- and he is excited about his work. i give him much credit.

besides, if he is off doing the war and being patriotic, that is less time to defending that liberal slimeball clinton. sometimes you just gotta take advantage of the small opportunities that god gives you to see the bright side of life (smile -- and don't tell me you know you are right -- smile again!)

have a blessed christmas if we don't converse again!
