Rivera's decision to bring a gun into a war zone where eight journalists have been killed has raised questions about whether it's a proper - or wise - thing for a reporter to do.

As far as the fashion analysis, blackdog is doing well here to point this out. Many people are unaware that political and cultural icons of the Left have historically invented their own little uniforms and done considerable image crafting to create a certain public impression. So it seems to me that blackdog has a point here in describing the Geraldo's trek across the Central Asia in search of a self-flattering wardrobe and maybe Osama too.
