Russian FM: We will aid Arafat

Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said that Russia will assist Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat.

"President Arafat is an internationally recognized Leader and we will help him out of the current crisis," Ivanov told the press yesterday, according to the Palestinian WAFA news agency.

"The Palestinian Authority behaved wisely when decided on [a] state of emergency," he said, and "hoped that the Israelis will meet with the Palestinians and stop the assaults and return to the negotiating table," Ivanov added.

Ivanov earlier said that "a military solution in the Middle East is impossible," stressing that, "the only solution comes with sincere negotiations," the statement said.

What hypocrits!!! Now, I am not going to take the Chechen side, I have been following the conflict from its beginning to know what's going on. However, Russians dropped more bombs on Grozni then Allies did on Berlin. Russian officials traveled numerous times to Israel to learn terror fighting techniques from Israelis. Russians fell victims to bombings and etc themselves in recent years. They are shooting themselves in the foot here.

Former Soviet Foreign Minister Primakov was known as the Godfather of Mideast Terrorism. He nurtured and paid Arafat and others from back in the 1960's.

You've really got to wonder if the diplomats of the world have any grasp on reality.

Even if nothing else was going on, the man is in his 70's and he is not healthy. Yet, they continue to consider him indispensable.

Yea, the Russians need to decide if they are serious about fighting terrorist or not. Arafat is a terrorist, one of the worst.

I am Baptist so here goes.

Stage 1 The rapture of the church. Tribulation Period begins/Rise of the Antichrist and International Peace treaty with Israel/Mark of the Beast Institued/Judgment seat of Christ occurs simuntanelously

Stage 2 Mid-point of 7 year tribulation period-After 3 1/2 years beginning of "Great Tribulation". Peace Treaty Broken/Russia and Non-aligned Arab countries attack Israel and are defeated.

Stage 4 Gods judgements & Satan's wrath.

Yeah, I'm very familiar with the general timeline. (Baptist here, too.) Was looking for the specific info that many (not all) prophecy scholars point to as evidence that Russia will be one of the major players against Israel. Gog, Magog, that stuff.

I can usually find information on jackvanimpe.com. I believe you are right about Russia being the King from the North and I believe that Egypt is the King of the South who will attack Israel. Let me know if you find anything, my curiosity has gotten the better of me. Thanks friend.
